Viper
I know Jacksonville had some problems with Super Bowl 39, but can anyone tell me what exactly went wrong there and why Jacksonville is no longer on the Super Bowl host short list?Or San Diego for that matter. It seems to have every single one of the intangibles. I know they had some isolated issues with violence during 37, but first off the Raiders didn't help that cause, and don't all cities have some increased violence when hosting huge events like the Super Bowl? For some reason, I remember hearing at one point that it had to do with handicap accommodations at the stadium, and the fact that nothing was being done about it, but I cannot remember for sure. Before Super Bowl XXXII there was a report that the league was concerned about San Diego's proximity to the Mexican border, specifically to sportsbooks operating legally just a couple hundred yards south of it. This might have been another mark against the city, though clearly not a show-stopper by itself - after all San Diego did host XXXVII five years later, and legalized sports betting was apparently not a factor when the NFL staged games in Mexico City itself, or in London which also has quite a large and legal bookmaking industry. tohasbo
I have a better version but my god it is bad. Plus I dont know if Im allowed to do this. My store has the programs for the Super Bowl on sale so I figured I'd share with all

tohasbo
In all honesty the last 4 including 44 are all misses. The best one, IMO, has to be between 27, 28 and
Cujo
Nice find.Looks similar to the Super Bowl 41's logo with the massive amount of orange and using goalposts instead of the endzone pylon to make up the logo. I suppose if it's gonna be in Miami again, then why not?
tohasbo
Its still an epic fail tho. Even tho they have the goal post look, it still looks bad. And I'm not partial to the red and blue star they've been going with since Super Bowl XL.

Roger Clemente
Every year we always say the latest Super Bowl logo sucks and then we warm up to it.It certainly isn't something I was expecting, but I like it. I had an idea of an upright motif for Super Bowl LI's logo. Once again the red and blue stars are present, but then again it's the one thing I expected. JQK
I think it is a decent logo, and i already know i'll warm up to it.It's already better than XLII and XLIII. Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
rainmaker17
Bad like the SB 41 logo. 42 and 43 did grow on me, I don't see 44 doing the same.

Billy B
I don't mind this one really. Not great, but with it being in Miami every four years, they can't keep doing a location-themed logo each time.

Joshawaggie
Wow, still all the hate for the SBXLI logo. I happened to really like that one, pylon and all. At first glance, I am diggin this one as well. My beef is that it's all basicall one color. The numerals or at the least the banner should be different, make the goalposts stand out. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats

Back then the ones in the 70s and 80s were pretty simple. compare it to now, yes I agree they are bad but still. But it was perfect for the first southwestern Super Bowl. Plus with the XXX, that roman numerical symmetry will not be seen again. I think it was a perfectly done logo. Busy? A little, but it fit.Straight-up Sweetness Stay Tuned Sports Podcast
