True, please stop.

You're making real Yankees fans look even worse than most people percieve us to be.

That said, Let's Go Yankees...

I'm making Yankees fans look bad by celebrating because we're going to the playoffs and defending my Yankees from haters? Alright I guess

"It's not what you say, but how you say it..."

Frankly, I think it's funny. People give you s***. You give them s*** back. It's trash talk. What else do y'all want? :P

More trash!

Offs = Playoffs just like Ship = Championship

just a bunch of Yankee haters who do not comprehend on this thread. I am disappointed!

No, it's just nonsensical jargon. Though I look forward to the Yankees being offed sooner than they expected.

I'm assuming You're a Nats fan. Before you talk trash about the Yankees

1: Get a winning season

2: Win a playoff Game

3: Win a World Series

And then come talk to me. I love all these small market fans who cheers for the Yankees to lose more than your crappy teams winning a WS.

My crappy team has accomplished #3 more recently than your crappy team. And calling you out for pointlessly abbreviated slang is not ripping on the Yankees.

Congrats TrueYankee26,

The highest payroll in baseball made the playoffs (ahem "'Offs") for the umpteenth time in their history after an oh-so horrific and traumatic one year absence.

Yeah, well I just finished accomplishing #2 a few moments ago and I must know what it feels like to be a Yankee fan now because boy, do I feel good!

1. Um, Congratulations?.

2. Some people said Yankees will get "offed" early, that counts as ripping the Yankees.

Lol, I've avoided this thread for a while.

The 11 game losing streak really took the wind out of the Rays sails. But they've won a few recently, and I'll be happy with a .500 season.

My Yankee fan-friend was bragging about making the 'offs ,if you will, and I asked him to make a roster for the Yankees with 65 million in the bank, and get back to me.

Well here's hoping they'll exit the Offs and not win the ship :P

Actually, it's not ripping. It's making an assumption based on recent trends. :P

Congratulations to the Nationals for their 100th loss.

They have 7 more games against the Braves, so I'm hoping for at least 7 more losses. However, I'm sure the Nats will the the team to officially eliminate the Braves from the playoffs. Good luck with your one bright spot Washington!

Thank you Padres!

Assuming the Cubs hold on tonight, the Cardinals still have something to play for on Friday night, so they should be playing the Rockies at their full potential.

Colorado's only up three in the loss column....the Braves are still hanging around. Colorado has three with the Cardinals, and three at Los Angeles, while the Braves have 7 with Washington and 3 with the Marlins.

The losses by San Fran and Colorado tonight are huge for the Braves. Since Atlanta started showing signs of wanting to get into the playoffs, the other contenders have been matching them win for win. Now with 7 against the Nationals, the Bravos have a very real chance of snagging the Wild Card. San Francisco has 3 more against the Cubs before playing Arizona and San Diego. That schedule is on par with what Atlanta has for their remaining 10 games, but they need to gain ground now while they are playing the Nats because they have been hit or miss (mostly miss) with the Fish all season.

If Colorado wins the Wild Card, then they will have earned it. If it comes down to the last series of the season though, the Rox will get a Dodger team that is only concerned with setting playoff rosters while the Braves will get the Nats who have nothing to lose and would love to spoil the party. Plus, I don't think any team in the NL wants to play a 5 game series against Atlanta the way they are playing and with that pitching staff. Welcome to the last week and a half of the regular season gents! ;)

Also, it'll be Holliday's first trip back to Coors, so he might be more motivated.

And Brian Wilson just officially dished up the end of the Giants playoff hopes. They still have a chance, but this loss was crushing.

The Phillies are pretty much taking the approach that as long as they get in the 'offs [sic], that's good enough - record / home-field doesn't matter. So expect Lidge to still get some opportunities down the stretch.

Charlie finally admitted that if Myers wasn't hurt, he'd be in the mix for the closer role. The debate now is whether a committee can work, or if you need just one guy.

Anyone who saw Tyler Walker close for SF think he can be that guy in an actual high-pressure 'off [sic] situation?

I have a feeling that the Nats will take 3 games from the Braves, thus eliminating them :P
