Even if the Twins should fall a game or two short, he still is the clear cut favorite.

Fixed it for you.

Mauer I think is the hands down AL MVP, Morneau was hurt, and the Twins are in the race with one week left, and Mauer has had an tremendous season.

Phillies lose another one in walk-off fashion, this time Tyler Walker served it up.

I NEVER thought I'd be saying this, but Brett Myers CAN NOT rejoin this team fast enough.

He has a batting average around .370, he has 28 homers, 92 RBIs, get's on base almost 4.5 times out of ten on average, is one of the best fielding catchers in baseball, AND HE MISSED AROUND 20 GAMES!!!! He better be the MVP.

Well it wasn't a closing situation, more of a "just get us to extras tied" type thing.

Is that Kirsty? Interesting font choice.

I think it is.

It is.

I think the odder thing is that the "AL" is gray, while the rest of that line is white.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

And once again, MLB couldn't resist mixing in some Copperplate.

Today is the 1-Year Anniversary of the start of demolition of Shea Stadium.

Unfortunately for us Met fans, the demolition of the team itself has been a never-ending train ride to Hell since October 19th, 2006...

I'm surprised tNak and NoHoJoe haven't started fiftyleven trivia threads and goalieboy hasn't started a "One Year Ago" thread.

I guess this place isn't as predictable as originally thought. :P

Speaking of which.....should it come down to a one-game playoff, the Rockies have to fly from Los Angeles to Atlanta and play on Monday night, without the benefit of a day off. As I've mentioned on here before, it's more difficult to travel west-to-east to play than it is to travel east-to-west.
