What about Jim Marshall? he deserves to be in too.

As for this years class, great job, except for McDanell I think all were very deserving, McDanell I need some convincing I think Kuchenberg deserves to go in before he did.

Derrick Thomas about friggin time. He was one of the best pass rushers in the 90s the fact he died should not stop him from getting in. I feel if he was still alive he would have gone in years ago.

So does this make McDaniel the Buccaneers second HOFer, or is he going in as a Viking?

Also, good to see that Rod Woodson made the hall. He was always one of my favorite players.

Since Randall was a Viking to start his career and played most of his career here, he will be inducted as a Viking.

(Of course last year Gary Zimmerman was supposed to be inducted as Viking, but he chose Bronco chairman Pat Bowlen to do the actual induction speech for him.)

It's a shame that not all of these guys are going to make it this year. Just about every single one on the list deserves to get in.

umm...that is the list. they made it.

Sorry, Tank, but Jim Marshall was not even considered, so get over it. Derrick Thomas over Richard Dent???? Dent has 7 more INT over Thomas. Game for game his stats are better; mch better. If you think that consistency is better, than Charles Haley is an easy first ballot HOF select and ray Guy should be too. Personally, I cant believe that Shannon Sharpe or Cris Carter did not get in this year.

Do you mean seven more sacks? Thomas died before his 11th year. Had he played a full career, he would have surpassed Dent in sacks after one season. Also, I don't think it's Dent who had seven sacks in one game.

No. Career wise Dent had 8 intereptions, Thomas just had one. Thomas was All Pro twice and Dent once, but Dent was on two Super Bowl teams. While I know your name spells your bias, honestly, Richard Dent was a better player for his career. regardless of who #58 was cut short. Charles Haley was even better in terms of making a difference to a team since he has more championships. Very good player, but not better than Haley or Dent.

Having another pass rusher with Smithhard to add to.

If I was on the committee, my inductees would have been the following:

Bruce Smith

Cris Carter

Rod Woodson

Shannon Sharpe (His stats make up the modern TE)

Bob Hayes

Paul Tagliabue (Stadiums and paychecks say enough)

Tez was soild but not a first ballot guy. He was dominant on very average teams, like Lee Roy Selmon.
