BigEd76
http://www.bostonherald.com/track/inside_t...&position=3Boston! Fenway is tenatively announced as the host for the next Winter Classic game, to be held January 1, 2010. Most likely opponent would be either the Canadiens or the RangersFrom what I'm hearing it's most likely going to be either the Flyers or the Caps. That's what we're hearing in Philly too
goalieboy82
i think it might be the caps since the nhl would like (and would make sense) to have alex olvechkin in an outdoor game (if not 2010, 2011). my idea is to have the caps play the senators on the national mall (between the capitol and the washington monument). they can call it the battle of the capitals. so long and thanks for all the fish. BrySmalls
Well, I believe my team, the Washington Capitals, should be playing against the Carolina Hurricanes, at Fed Ex Field in 2011 or 2013

Of course, the NHL would want to use similar years, so they might take these instead Welcome to DrunjFlix
letsgojackets
The Bruins and Fenway Park makes sense. Ones I would like to see in the future...1. Capitals at RFK Stadium2. Avalanche at Invesco Field3. Blue Jackets at the Horseshoe4. Canadiens at Alouttes' stadium (sorry for my ignorance dont watch any CFL)5. Maple Leafs at Agronauts' stadium6. Flames at Stampeders' stadium7. Oilers at Eskimos' stadium8. Canucks at Lions' stadiumThing is a lot of the legendary baseball/football stadiums are disappearing thus its hard to find places to make it "traditional" Courtesy of PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

Remember they tried to be the las event in the Old Yankee Stadium but issues prevented that. I think they will try again for the New Yankee Stadium. Also Bruins and Canadians are 2 of the Original 6. But they could play it at the home of the Toronto FC soccer team (BMO Field) or maybe at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton. And the Alouettes' stadium is Molson Stadium, which is at McGill University. Is Ottawa's stadium in decent enough shape to host one for the Senators? pollux
I really doubt that the Habs would have an outdoor game at Molson Stadium. Bell Centre currently has a capacity of 21,273 for a hockey game. Molson stadium can fit only 20,202, at a football game. Plenty of seat would not be used (endzones) as there would be no view of the ice.I think they would want to host it where they can have a bigger attendance, and the only way this is going to happen is in the Big O. Which wouldn't make it a traditional outdoors game.
