Wondering why the Browns get 2 prime time games at home after going 4-12 last season?
Probably for the same reason that the Eagles got a Monday Night game - because the NFL is out of their mind.

The Eagles were in the NFC championship game.

They deserve to be on MNF.

The Browns don't!!!

2 prime time games and 1 4:15 game for the Falcons. I can dig it, that sounds just about fair.

That said, why in the hell don't the Falcons and Bucs play until freaking WEEK 12?!

I'm pumped about the MNF game, even though it is on the road. The SNF game is at home though.

Honestly, they should be playing 16 games at 1:00 PM ET. But you know the NFL will never do that, because they think the Eagles have a half-decent fanbase.

They should only have one prime time game.

And really they don't even deserve that.

You could also root for a team that doesn't have any, though....

Count your blessings. And your opportunities to watch your team legally on the nice television you have.

/at least there's the game against the Colts on the 25th. That may be my only chance this year.

Why is it that the Jets will have to come to Oakland twice in two seasons? I though they were supposed to rotate through the divisions and that Oakland would have to come to the Meadowlands before they would have to go to Oakland again.

Oh wow, I just noticed that the Falcons are gonna play the Cowboys on my birthday.

That's gonna be an interesting party, seeing as how my family & friends are basically 50/50 when it comes to that.

Because each 1st, 2nd etc. place team in its division also has to play its counterparts in each of the other divisions in its conference. The Jets and Raiders both happened to finish third in their respective divisions, so they play each other again this season. I don't remember how they determine the home team in these matchups, but it is independent of the rotating schedules.

The next time the Raiders and Jets would face each other in the rotation is 2011 (assuming no strike/lockout of course), and presumably that would be at the Meadowlands. However it's possible they will also have to play each other next season as well, if they both finish in the same place in their respective divisions again this season.

The Packers first 4 Games heading into the Bye could possibly mean a 4-0 start or a 2-2 Start and what I find suprising is that the Pack play the Vikes both times before week 10.

While I love the fact that in week 1, we get a Thursday night opener, and that it's the World Champs who host it, and while I also love the fact that in week 1 there is a double-header, why does it seem that every year for the past 3 seasons, one of those 2 week 1 MNF games has to have the stinkin RAIDERS?!?!?!?! The Raiders have been irrelevant for 2 decades now, with one fluke exception making it to the Super Bowl only to get blown out of the water. Why does the league "Jones" for the Raiders? To me, the Cardinals vs 49ers should be the other MNF game, showcasing the current NFC Champions, not those thugs out in Oakland. And while the Raiders did come on somewhat strong toward the end of last season, that was LAST season. I understand them wanting to have LT & Rivers & the Chargers on MNF, but why does it ALWAYS have to be against the pathetic RAIDERS??? ENOUGH!!!!! When/if the Raiders make the playoffs again, and become a more RELEVANT team, THEN and ONLY THEN should they be showcased on Monday Night Football. As for the complaint about the Eagles being on primetime, I'm ok w/it. They are the NFC runners-up, and of course tv, and the league, but especially TV, and ESPN is for some reason head over heels in love with Donovan McNabb. Of course, because of the greed that is the NFSmell Network, I no longer will get to have the previous honor & privilege of viewing 8 regular season games.

I taped the schedule show, but haven't had much chance to watch or listen. I like the way the schedule appears on NFL.com, very nice looking, far easier to read than that scroll thing the NFL Network had at the top of their screen last night. Whose idea was it to put tiny black print indicating "Week 1" "Week 2" etc. on a dark blue background? WHITE lettering!!!! Just very irritating.

Me too. Hope the recent tradition of the Saints owning Atlanta on MNF continues. :D

I'm happy with what the Seahawks schedule became.

One thing, no trips to the Eastern Time Zone. Last season, there were trips to Buffalo, New York and Miami (All losses). The farthest east they'll go this season is Indianapolis.

The only disappointing thing is no primetime games (First time in my lifetime, or if you prefer numbers, it's the first time since 1983).
