Keeps sounding more and more like a "If I can't have you, no one can" situation. Crazy girlfriend falls in love with rich married man, he finally decides that what he's doing is wrong and decides to break it off. Girlfriend doesn't want to go back to meaningless life working at Dave & Buster's driving a Kia, and ends it all for both of them.

Sad story.

Has everyone forgotten the lessons of "Fatal Attraction"? 1987 wasn't that long ago.

Or maybe he just got bored and decided to move on to the next 20-year-old waitress.

Not that I ever would cheat, but I bet this story has made some people think twice.

Imagine the wife. I would hate to be the one that found out my spouse was killed by the person they were cheating on me with.

Several years before Miss Kazemi was born though. icon9.gif

For some reason it didn't register to me untill now that this girl was actually YOUNGER than me

Yeah, I as a 21 year old I won't mess with most 18-20 year old girls. They're usually too freaking unstable.

Nothing shakes off feeling old like drilling a chick 17 years younger than you.

Good/interesting point.

Nothing shakes off feeling old like drilling a chick 17 years younger than you.

21 years for me. And no thanks.

More news...Kazemi listed all of her furniture on Craigslist (some as low as $1), and told her family that she was planning to move in with McNair.

So yeah, I'm gonna assume that McNair said "You wildin', you can't move in with me." and Kazemi had an Alex Forrest moment.

McNair's friend said he was never getting a divorce. So the most likely scenario is that he wanted to break it off. We are likely to never know the truth about what happened that day. Her family says one thing, and McNair's friend says another.

Third option is McNair lied to her all along. Since apparently he was killed while sleeping and she purchased the gun just a few days earlier, I'd guess he never owned up to anything. She probably pieced things together ahead of time.

The following is not intended as an excuse for McNair's actions but as a possible explanation.

It took a while for the light bulb to go on for me but finally I did the math. McNair was 36 and had been married for 16 years. So he was 20 when he got married. That reminded me of a moment I recall quite clearly even though it happened around 1993. I got married very young. At about the same stage - married 16 years - I was visiting a friend's house one day (both of us in our mid-30's) and we were looking at photo albums. There were pics of her at 20 or 21, having a blast on a huge schooner that sails the Caribbean. And it hit me - that's what other people my age were doing while I was 20 and changing diapers. Not to say Steve didn't have a nice life, that's not it at all. I'm just saying that sometimes you look around and start thinking, what all did I miss?

The irony is that the answer is usually nothing you'd have wanted more than what you had. When I think back, what I'd like most isn't the cruise or whatever else I might have done, it's more time with my children at a young age, but with an appreciation of how precious those years are and how fast they go by.

After the Chris Benoit death I learned to wait until I heard all the facts before I made a comment.

I do not feel bad for Steve McNair at all. He was cheating on his wife and betrayed his family. I feel bad for his wife and kids. They had to find out that not only was their husband/dad murdered but they also had to learn about the affair. I almost feel let down by McNair because he was one of my favorite players and I remember pulling for him when he was at Alcorn State and had the outside shot at the Heisman.

I feel bad for McNair's wife, kids and family. I do not feel bad for Steve, if he did not choose to put himself in that situation of cheating on his wife and family this would not have happened.

so you're saying adultery should be punishable by death? harsh man, harsh. not condoning what he did at all, but people make mistakes.

Yes that's exactly what I am saying...

Come on, don't take things that literally.

Adultry is not a mistake it is concious decision. Forgetting to leave a tip is a mistake, forgetting the time of a dentist appointment is a mistake. Banging a chick that is not your wife is not a mistake.

And for the record... I don't think that death is an appropriate punishment for adultry.

But I don't know why people have strayed from traditional morals. There are some moral absolutes in this world. Murder = Bad, Rape = Bad, Adultry = Bad, Drugs = Bad etc...

However there is a lot of apathy towards traditional values these days. I am sickened by the support that Michael Jackson has recieved. I will go to my grave believeing that he is a child molester that got off. I don't care how good Thriller was or how many records he sold. Child molesting is evil and unforgivable and I sincerely hope he rots for it.

But back to McNair. He cheated on his wife and betrayed his family. I don't think he should have been killed but at the same time I don't feel sorry for him. He knowling cheated on his wife and put himself in that situation. If he was not a cheater and was a good family man like he should have been he would still be alive today.
