Seriously, no one sees this?

The logos both have a dog pointing it's head in one direction without a mouth, and the noses are somewhat similar... and...?

They're both dogs. Obvious rip-off!

They're all terrible, I suppose option 1 would be the best of the three...the use of fur and shade are very similar to the NIU logo. It's not a blatant rip off, but theres definitely a lot of inspiration from it.

"Hey, lets fold the ears down and shorten the snout; change the colors...nobody will know!"

I just thought of this going through the Inside Lacrosse 2010 Yearbook the other night, but is it me or do the schools in Maryland all have the same basic script then animal look to it? Because with UMBC's new look they've got the same basic idea as Maryland and Hopkins with their logos.

There are some similarities, but you're really stretching things if you think it's a rip-off.

Ok, throw out any differences because of two different breeds of dogs. Colors, ears, facial placement. Ignore all of it.

Now look at the design style. Look where one design has a notch. You'll see some kind of replication on it's counterpart. Look at the way the nose, mouth, eyes, and fur are projected.

It's quite obvious the designer put ZERO thought and originality into the design.

It's not as simple as that. Those elements do make up part of the UMBC design.

Also, the final logo has different eyes, differentiating the two marks further.
