Speaking of Shuster...

U.S. benches Shuster for France match

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- U.S. skip John Shuster has been benched for the winless Americans' upcoming curling match with France.

USA Curling chief operating officer Rick Patzke tells The Associated Press the decision was made by coach Phill Drobnick in a team meeting Thursday night, and Patzke supports the decision. Shuster, a bronze medalist in Turin four years ago, has struggled with his shot-making all tournament. Alternate Chris Plys will skip the team, with vice skip Jason Smith throwing the last stone.

The Swiss team nearly pulled off another upset of Canada last night. It went to a shootout and Crosby buried one to give Canada the 3-2 win.

and using a medal point system (gold=3, silver=2, bronze=1) here's the top 5:

USA - 35 pts

Germany - 23 pts

Norway - 17 pts

Canada - 16 pts

South Korea - 13 pts

Except the IOC never use a point system, and always go most golds, with most silvers and then most bronzes as tie breakers! (None of that matters over here in Britain right now, mind, as we have no medals yet!)

Then shut your mouths about "Worst Olympics Evar." :P

The American women finally got a win in curling today, and now add the American men to the win column.

They beat France 4-3. You know how bad it would of been if they would of lost to the French?

And this is with Team USA scoring 3 of their 4 points in 9th and 10th Ends! (CLUTCH!)

But the fact is; It's too little, too late for the Americans. Let's hope we never see the return of Shuster.

Fixed your post. Torvill and Dean won the gold in Ice Dancing in '84.

We also won the women's curling in Salt Lake City!

Gooooooooo Amy!! First British individual gold medalist in anything other than figure skating ever!
