People have been saying "move the Coyotes to Winnipeg" since they left Winnipeg. That said, credibility is a bit limited with the source. The_Admiral
I'm gonna miss getting to have conversations like "Hey, you wanna put the Hawks game on?""Sure. Who're they playing?""Phoenix.""haha how can there be a hockey team in Phoenix when it's so hot?""Yeah, it made more sense when they played in Winnipeg.""What's Winnipeg?""You mean where's Winnipeg? It's like north of North--""No, what is it?" ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Quillz
I don't see the Coyotes leaving Phoenix. And so what if Phoenix hasn't historically been a hockey town? More than half the team in the NHL don't play in "hockey towns."

There is nothing to this story so please don't waste our time.Until a credible source has a scoop assume that Winnipeg is not getting an NHL team.Exactly. But if they all cite each other and say the same thing at once, suddenly it becomes credible in the minds who really, really want to believe what the headline says. "All these people are saying it, it's gotta be true!" No, it doesn't. All of these people are rumor-mongering dopes, and someone should plant the seed in one of their heads that the Atlanta Thrashers are going to be sold to the Toronto Legacy group, and see how far they run with that.I've given a synopsis before of the numerous reasons the NHL will not return to Winnipeg. I'm too tired to type them again, so to sum up: No. On 1/25/2013 at 1:53 PM, 'Atom said: For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Frankie
I have a fantasy team on NHL10 that I named the Winnipeg Falcons. I made their home jersey a replica of the 1920 Winnipeg Falcons jersey that was worn at the Olympics and the 2004 World Cup. I also made an away version of it.Personally, I hope a new team in Winnipeg gets the name Falcons. It would be a great hommage to a great team. The_Admiral
Even though this is certainly bogus (of course a rerelocated Coyotes team would be the Winnipeg Jets again; the consumers would demand it), shouldn't we know by now here in 2010 that an x-axis of "journalistic credentials" and a y-axis of accurate reporting allow for all four quadrants to be well-represented? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
