2011 NBA Playoffs

The Bulls aren't going to win in a sweep, but I'm still picking them to ultimately win the series. You know why? Because they beat Miami every single time they played this year. Some of you Cleveland-hating Heat sackriders are all like "well, sure, the Bulls swept the Heat this season and finished well ahead of them in the standings, but I dunno, you guys!!!" Excuse me for coming to a conclusion based on empirical evidence.

Is it so wrong to want to feast on Cleveland's tears?

Probably not, if you're the kind of person who... Probably not, but it would be like... Probably not, if you think winning....

There's a joke in there somewhere about "feasting" on the tears of Cleveland fans being the equivalent of Carl Lewis winning a bunch of medals in the Special Olympics. I'm really trying but I can't seem to put it together. That's the concept. Can someone else bring it home for me? B)

Essentially; Cleveland is Cleveland, and no matter whether they win or lose, they're still retarded Cleveland.

It's like Detroit, except worse, because you have nobody good to root for.

I was thinking more along the lines of beating up on Cleveland is like beating up on a special needs kid. It's not much of a victory because it's pretty easy to do.

Wow - the Clippers just crapped away the #1 pick in the 2011 Draft.

I'm actually not pissed about that. The Clippers don't need yet another rookie (especially not in a somewhat-weak draft like this year), they need veteran starters. Additionally, had the Clips not traded the pick, chances are it would have not been a top-three pick since their record wasn't bad enough.

Anyway, congrats to Cavs fans, but I can't wait to see how the Cavs screw this one up.

For real? I think this is what you call denial.

You're team missed the post season and you don't want a top pick??

When most of your team's core is comprised of young players who were drafted recently - Griffin, Gordon, Jordan, Bledsoe, Aminu - it makes sense to me at least that adding on yet another young player who needs to adjust to the NBA wouldn't help the team win. Frankly, the best course of action for the Clippers is to get a proven, NBA-quality small forward (as in, not Ryan Gomes) and maybe try to swing a trade for CP3 or Dwight if the Hornets or Magic are looking to deal (although that would be a HUGE pipe dream).

Thanks for the #1 pick. And by the way, the Cavaliers have a much better NBA history then your Clippers. Welcome to Cleveland Kyrie Irving!!!

You can never have too many good young players.

Yes you can. The old adage is, "young teams don't win in the NBA," and there's definitely truth to that. Young talent can help you win, but it's the veterans with experience that put teams over the top. The Clippers have the young talent in spades, but there's a dearth of good veterans. Another high draft pick - in a weak draft, might I add - would only make that problem worse.

So you'd rather have Mo :censored:ing Williams over Kyrie Irving? Yeah right.

But, as the one Cleveland fan that's been over the LeBron thing since... oh July 9th, this is just awesome. Probably going to be Irving and Kanter with the 1 and 4. Thanks Clippers!

LO, your team essentially traded the #1 overall pick for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. And it's seemingly impossible for them to court ANY big name players without them ending up rolling on the floor in fits of laughter. You're two options for "winning" don't seem to exist.

The Thunder disagree.

I hate how the ping pong balls are picked behind closed doors. They should do it in front of the audience. For a league trying to gain its fans trust in terms of things not being rigged, they sure miss their free throws, so to speak.

Really? I didn't see Baron Davis laughing at the Clippers while he was signing with them. (And yes, he was a pretty big name back then, coming off that stellar playoff run in Golden State.)
