Its all going to depend on who Brown has coaching the offense. The man knows defense... his defense works. However, he is absolutely clueless on how to coach an offense. There are 2 outcomes I see coming form this:

The first, being that Brian Shaw stays with the Lakers, running the triangle offense or they hire some sort of other assistant coach to implement and run the offense. I think if they have an assistant that can actually implement and run an offense (John Kuester was/is terrible), then the Lakers could be a serious contender with Mike Brown's defense.

The other possible outcome, and this isn't a joke, the Lakers hope to do poorly next year, and the year after, let Kobe's contract expire, trade away high value players like Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Brown, and hope to rebuild through the draft in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014.

Do the Lakers really have a plan once Kobe is done? Gasol isn't a franchise player... neither is Bynum. I honestly think their End-Game is hoping to do poorly enough to get a high draft pick for a few consecutive years, grab the next Kobe/LeBron/Durant and hope they get lucky in the meantime drafting a couple of Odom/Harden type players.

I think what's going to happen is that Brown will control the Defense, and let the assistant coaches control the offense. I'm pretty sure we're going to keep the Triangle offense, as it's the perfect offense. While we have the core of Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Fisher, and Bynum, it'd be idiotic to change the only offense these guys know.

And now we'll be "treated" to a Mavericks-Heat Final... Again! Also, if the Mavericks don't win it all this year, they never will with Nowitski. This is their last shot with Dirk.

Is it safe to say that the Mavs have now passed the baton of "chokers" to the Thunder? Congrats, Mavs.

I think that's a bit unfair. Two years ago the Thunder were a last place team looking to find their way, they have come a long way fast. They are very young and will have many more chances.

Just imagine if the Thunder had gotten that #1 pick over the Clippers and the Blake Show was playing in that lineup...

1- Man, OKC is so inefficient. Durant scored 23 points on 20 shots and Westbrook had 31 points on 28 shots.

2- Carlisle's callout of the team on March 9 could be the spark which got them really going:

"We've gotten very soft defensively as a team. We were a tough-minded team the first quarter of the year, and that's gone by the wayside. It's an attitude adjustment that we're going to have to make to get it back."

3- I think that the NBA wants at least one game over Memorial Day, so we will have a game six in Miami.

Well it's a treat for some of us. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of your whinny, self-important and entitled team in the finals all the time. I take that back....I'm not sorry.

For real? The rest of the country is so sick of Lakers-Celtics, we'll take a 5 year old rematch over seeing those two again. I'm not even an NBA fan and I'm tired of Lakers-Celtics.

And the rest of the country is also sick of having the Heat shoved down their throats.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Bingo. That's what I'll be sick of most of all. If the Heat win it all, I might not go on ESPN for a month. It'll be nothing but a Heat lovefest. I hope somehow the Bulls can miraculously win it. A Chicago-Dallas series would be fun to watch.

I understand. It's your favorite team with a shot to win it all. That'd be a treat for any sports fan whose favorite team is in there. I just rather it be Mavericks-Bulls, over Mavericks-Heat. Though, I have to say. I think Dallas is the only team that can beat the Heat. I just hope every game in the finals comes down to the final seconds in 7 games.

Nah...I'd rather stay with the picture of Jason Witten's awesomeness against the 'Iggles. :P

And the rest of the country, not from SoCal, is AMAZINGLY sick of seeing the Lakers win it all. It's all relative, really.

It is NOT a Heat lovefest, the nation's sportswriters dislike the Heat, the TNT analysts picked BOS and CHI collectively over the Heat.

The fact that the Heat are on the verge of getting to The Finals after one season is the issue which most of America has with his choice, "The Decision", and the arena introduction when LeBron talked about, "four, five...titles". There is bigtime backlash as they are about to be five wins away from a title in year one; a year in which even with a new CBA and hard cap, could be their weakest team with these guys under contract.

This has occurred too fast for the nation, yet the ratings are up BIG when the Heat play. Game 4 was huge on a night in which they were up against the American Idol finale, Dancing With the Stars decision show, and GLEE season finale. Heat = ratings. It also tells other players that deciding to play for the same team can gain near instant results, so it could occur with the Knicks is Amare still has a knee in two seasons.

Can you read my friend? I didn't say it IS a Heat lovefest, but it WILL be a Heat lovefest if they win it all.
