@NS80: Dwertman showed me this link:http://ufl.50megs.com/. It's a text based simulator.

@Q34 & KMurphy: Not everyone will have alternates, I'm just throwing these out as the ideas come along. The Pharaohs alternate has both home & road because I wanted to see the design applied both ways. I might just go permanent if I like them well enough.

Here's a little experiment I did this afternoon. I gave the Shoguns a "touch of wasabi". What do you guys think? Would this be a good permanent fix?

Reminds me of the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks.

Julius, your Pharaoh alts are downright brilliant!

The collar and helmet treatments are so clever... really, really nice!

How would the Pharaohs look with a more brilliant gold? Just wondering.

The Wasabi Shoguns are great and I'd be keeping BOTH colour schemes.

Imagine "Wasabi Night" at the Shogun Palace!

Maybe the alts ARE the wasabi colours, with the marketing potential of the very cool and fun word, "WASABI"!!

I like the new Baron wings on the logo, but I'm not sure about the helmet.

There was something very unique about the way that the old wings covered almost the entire bottom half of the helmet.

But really, both are very nice .

As usual, excellent work!

Week 3 proved to be a weird one, as the road teams made a full sweep!

Wins by the Pharaohs, Shoguns and Blazers; Losses by Munich and Dallas ensured that there will be no winless or undefeated teams in the inaugural 2012 season.

The standings will be posted for weeks 3,6,9 and 12.

I couldn't resist tweaking the Shoguns logo to look more detailed and exotic, and changed my layout presentation to look more professional. You like??

@NS80:I think you can do 10-game seasons. And mine is a 12-gamer.

shoguns new logo is simply amazing. Looks like the real deal.

What is the theory behind the "ka" symbol on the helmet?

I'm led to believe that it is used as a symbol for "strength". Of course Wikipedia told me this, so...

gotcha, I should have known this. i took japanese culture and language my last year of college. That is why I like what you did with this team in the last update. I like to pretend I know my Japanese, however I apparently didn't even know what the symbol meant.

Yeah, that's the kanji for 'Chikara', which means strength. It looks exactly like the katakana for 'Ka' (and is probably where it was derived from to begin with)
