HedleyLamarr
How soon before the baseball insiders for ESPN blame the Nationals losing on Strasburg being shut down?
The_Admiral
This is worse than the time the Cardinals turned Todd Wellemeyer into a decent, sub-4.00-ERA starter. I was so mad then that I threw a baby out a window. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

DarkJourney
The Nationals should be proud of the season they had. Yeah it really, really, really sucks losing in that fashion but they will move on from it.

FiddySicks
Ehh, every tam needs a series like this to grow. We've all been there. With that said, it's a stress free NLCS for me! Me and my mom sure will be doing a lot of smack talking to my dad and his family this week though! What's the difference between beer at AT&T Park and beer at Busch Stadium? You can actually get beer at AT&T Park during the 2012 World Series!!! GO GIANTS!!! On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) The Six
Giants get to open up at home. Of course that didn't help them in the last series. The Natinals destroyed them in the regular season, so this is probably good, but the Cardinals have that postseason magic. But, as we all know, when it comes to the Giants, there's magic inside.
infrared41
All ball-busting aside, love them or hate them, you gotta respect what the Cardinals have managed to do in the playoffs over the past two seasons. If you don't, you really shouldn't call yourself a baseball fan. At some point, you have to set aside your hate and just marvel at what these guys have done. I don't have a horse in the race, and I just happen to be one of the few non-Cardinals fans around here who actually likes the Cardinals, so I loved every minute of this. Yeah, it's a real gut punch for the Nats and their fans, but good Lord, what a great baseball game. All roads lead to Dollar General.

The Six
In one Game 5, a 6-0 lead almost blown. Tense moments. Anxious memories. A bullpen full of heart and facial hair, holding off the storm. The other Game 5, a 6-0 lead overcome. Strong determination. Distant recollections. Relentless bats, chipping away with the audacity of hope. They meet in the NLCS. We are all witnesses.

Regular season goes out the window here. Kramerica Industries
Just like the Americans never vanquished the mighty British until they got another country on their side (France), the Cardinals will never be vanquished in the playoffs until two sides join forces and defeat the mighty beast.
