They wore it against the Orioles and I remember being confused as as a little kid watching that game until the announcers explained what was going on. They wore it against the Orioles and I remember being confused as as a little kid watching that game until the announcers explained what was going on.IIRC, Clemens pitched the Canada day game in 1997. Toronto really outdid themselves with their overhaul. It might be just me but there are quite a few teams who've made some tweaks, additions, or complete changes, and have greatly improved their look. Unfortunately, MLB doesn't seem to care too much about Toronto and Canada.Maybe if they actually asked they would get it. I think that's what Anubis was saying.It's not an unreasonable request. Even as someone with no ties to Canada, I think it makes perfect sense to let the Jays always play at home that day, and I'm kind of surprised they don't.
