In no particular order:

  • Watch Canada own the podium at the Olympics(bonus points for being at home)
  • Watch the Leafs win a Cup
  • Watch the Blue Jays win the World Series
  • Watch the Marlies win a Calder Cup
  • Attend an outdoor hockey game
  • Attend an All-Star game
  • Have a competitive Toronto Raptors team turn me into a basketball fan
  • Witness Toronto get an NFL team (sports "fantasy" would be a better term)

Tried to avoid listing things I have no control over but I had to list one:

-Blues winning Stanley Cup

-game in all 30 MLB parks (8/30 with active parks, also have been to Metrodome, Shea, and old Yankee stadium)

-game in all Midwest League parks (9/16 right now)

-Final Four

-EPL match

-U.S. Open/Wimbledon

-Olympics

Stuff I've been to that would probably be on the bucket list if I haven't been to it yet:

-NFC Championship

-Indy 500

-U.S. Open Golf

-NLCS

-college bowl game (Liberty Bowl)

-spring training

-NBA/NHL playoff games

Cool idea. I could swear we had one of these a while back but I'm in for another round. No one will read these because no one ever reads the posts in these threads. But they're fun all the same.

In no particular order.

Attend a football game at the following stadiums.

NCAA:

The Horseshoe

Michigan

Notre Dame

Any and or all of the following SEC schools, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia.

Florida State

NFL:

Lambeau Field

Attend a baseball game at the following ballparks. Actually, my ultimate goal would to see a game in every park but until I win the lottery, I'm setting my sights a little lower.

Busch Stadium

Dodger Stadium

The Big A

PNC Park (should get that one out of the way later this summer)

Great American Ballpark (see PNC)

Camden Yards (I was there for a game but it got rained out. So I've been inside the place but I still need to see a game)

Marlins Park

Citi Field

AT&T

NASCAR:

The Daytona 500

The night race at Bristol

Talladega

NBA:

A Lakers game at Staples Center

A Thunder game at wherever it is they play (I gotta experience that crowd in person

The Indianapolis 500

The Super Bowl (Just to say I did it. NFL Football is actually better on TV.)

The MLB All-Star Game

The BCS title game.

And finally...

Attend a bowl game. Ideally any one of or all of these, Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta. But I'll take whatever I can get.

Bold: It still astounds me that you've never attended an Ohio State home game. But if they're anything like Georgia, tickets aren't easy to come by, even if you're a current student. And even if you make a donation of 4-figures, all that does is give you priority to buy tickets....

Blue: Just to get "Seeing a Notre Dame football game anywhere" off my bucket list, I saw them when they played at Georgia Tech a few years ago when Notre Dame was the preseason #2 and had Heisman-hopeful Brady Quinn at QB. Seeing a Notre Dame home game is on my list, too. On my road trip last summer, we went to South Bend and checked out their campus. Walked around the stadium and noticed that a gate was open. Naturally, I walk inside. A couple of their maintenance guys were nearby and asked what I was doing. I told them I was from Atlanta and was just checking out their campus, and asked if I could walk to the nearest portal and see the inside of the stadium. They let me do that, as long as I agreed to not take pictures and had one of them accompany me so that they wouldn't get in trouble. It was hard not to think of the movie Rudy while I was there.

Red: I'm a bit biased, but there aren't many places that compare to Athens on a football Saturday. The entire gameday experience is incredible. It simply doesn't compare to the football experiences I've had when I went to a Georgia Tech, Falcons, or even the SEC Championship.

I'll have to think about my full bucket list. But just for Georgia football, I've been to 4 of the 5 I want to do most:

Georgia home game (the majority of the 2007 season)

Georgia road game (at Georgia Tech....the crowds always have more red than yellow, but it still counts)

Georgia bowl game (the Liberty Bowl a couple years back)

Georgia play in the SEC Championship (2002 vs. Arkansas....UGA won 30-3)

Georgia vs. Florida in Jacksonville (haven't done this one yet...tickets are damn hard to obtain)

1. Compete in a professional wrestling match

2. Play one game of professional baseball

3. See the Toronto Blue Jays make the playoffs

4. See the Ottawa Senators win the Stanley Cup

5. See the Clippers sweep the Lakers in a playoff series

** #1 and #2 are both due to outstanding bets I have with people from when I was like 15. I'm hoping to 'Billy Crystal' my way into a baseball game one day, and I'm pretty sure I could talk my way into an indy wrestling match if I tried hard enough, but there's no rush. I'm not kicking that bucket just yet.

Added:

6. Hit an over-the-fence home run in my beer league

7. Win a championship in my beer league

8. Compete in a dirt track stock car race

9. Actually win said race

At this point, the only thing I want is a Detroit Lions' Superbowl championship. I'd obviously never be upset if the Red Wings or Angels won another championship, but I've been a Lions fan for much longer than any other team I follow.

There haven been numerous threads on event stubs, so even between that and today, there is little which I need to go to. I've gotten out the Stanley cup Finals and NBA Finals. That said, I want to go to:

1- The Masters.

2- An event at the MCG.

3- A day at Wimbledon.

1. Go to WrestleMania

2. See a Packers game at Lambeau Field

That's probably it. Everything else (attend a White Sox World Series game at the Cell, go to a Super Bowl the Packers are playing in, etc.) requires too many variables I can't control. Imagine all of the unfulfilled "bucket lists" that have included "See the Cubs win the World Series."
