The way the first half went for Seattle, they look like the team that lost road games to Arizona, St. Louis and Miami and not the team that went into Chicago and beat them, went into Toronto and dropped 50 on the Bills and staged a decent comeback from 14 down against the Redskins last week.

*sigh* Might as well prepare the white flag.

How does Seattle go to the red zone twice and blow it both times?

Pete thinks he's still coaching college ball, where field goals don't exist and where the clock stops to re-spot the ball.

Don't understand why they're not running Wilson some. He hands it off every time. I understand it's a read but a couple of times he'd have had one defender to beat to get to the open field. This doesn't look even close to the same team that showed up last week in D.C.

Am I the only one that agrees with the Broncos running it on 3rd down? You're running off a valuable 40 seconds when the Ravens have no timeouts. I'd much rather have that than the chance that you make the first or you have to punt and give the Ravens 40 more seconds. It's easy to say they should have tried to pass when the Ravens scored, but that only happened because of one of the most egregious defensive lapses in playoff history. Give them those 40 seconds and they have a much better shot of putting together a legitimate touchdown drive.

And if the Broncos were going to be so upset at the Ravens kicking practice field goals during the timeout, someone should have just stood in front of them. Don't let someone do that on your home field.

I agree with the 3rd down run after the 2 minute time out. I don't agree with not even trying to get in field goal range after Baltimore scored, though.

Yeah, I didn't touch the very end of regulation for a reason. You have Peyton Manning, two timeouts, and a kicker with a huge leg in altitude. It was definitely worth a shot to win it in regulation.

Seattle is't dead yet, but I really like the idea of a 49ers Falcons NFC Championship game. It's a game we haven't seen yet, and both teams match up pretty well together. I like the Niners chances, but remember what happened the last time the Niners had to play Atlanta in the playoffs the week after beating Green Bay...

What a game this has turned into.

Seattle is clicking on all cylinders now on offense.

That's the frustrating thing. They were doing pretty well in the first half, but decided to get stupid in the end zone.

Why do they keep on talking about the Falcons having so much pressure to get a playoff win? Granted, this group of Falcons hasn't done much, but it's not like the franchise has no history. They made the Super Bowl in 1999 and had some good years with Vick.

If you're the #1 seed in the NFC twice in three years and blow it in your first game both times, the pressure is well warranted IMO.

Red zone but we get the point. Think about it...if they kick those 2 FGs, this game is tied. Atlanta may still win but they're breaking a sweat at least.

11-5 in 2008 --> lost first playoff game

13-3 in 2010, #1 seed --> lost first playoff game (and big; 48-21 to the Packers)

11-5 in 2011 --> lost first playoff game

They're 56-24 in the Ryan/Smith era, second best in the NFL. But zero playoff wins kinda hurts that. A similar team in the past five years are the Flacco/Harbaugh Ravens, and they have won seven playoff games.

Right. Red zone. That 4th and 1 stands out as incredibly stupid. If they lose this game -- which is still likely -- they can look at terrible play-calling early as a reason why.

Also, Ryan looks rattled.
