No offense Red.

None taken. Enjoy the Who Gives a Flying :censored: Bowl. B)

Heard the Wolverines could be playing in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl against Texas. So I might just enjoy the who gives a Flying :censored: Bowl when I'm actually there ;)

To reiterate.

And Sparty wonders why everyone in the conference hates them.

They hate Sparty 'cause, MSU probably beat them.

No, not really. We can think back longer than Dantonio.

So can I, like the great 60's MSU teams, and the Rose Bowl victory in '88.

Ummm....the days of sustained success for Sparty were more in the 1950s, Junior.

So if okie st and Baylor both lose Texas wins the big 12 but what happenes to the at larges? Does Clemson back there way in, or the Big 10/PAC 12 champ game loser does?

The bowl will still take the team which will move the most tickets.

Historically, an AQ team not in a conference championship has a better of making the BCS than the loser of a conference championship game.

The 2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl took Michigan (BCS #13) and Virginia Tech (BCS #11) with at-large selections. Boise State and K-State were left hanging.

Michigan State will probably be playing in the Rose Bowl regardless of what happens in the Big Ten championship game. I'd guess that Oregon and Alabama are more likely to be selected as at-large teams than the loser of their respective conference championship games. Clemson has a good shot too assuming Florida State wins tonight. There's also the extra at-large spot now that Northern Illinois won't be taking it.

Game of the century vs. Notre Dame 1966... ring a bell.

Ties cannot "ring bells".

Don't hang glory on a non-winning result, son.

Why are you always such a downer?

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

So competing in the GAME OF THE CENTURY, is not something to brag about.

First off it seems that every decade of college football as a "Game of the Century". Texas and Arkansas had one; so has Oklahoma and Nebraska....

You are not groundbreaking by any means.

Secondly, if you still want to claim a tie game as a success, I nickname you "North Korea" henceforth.

4 of Michigan State's 6 claimed MNCs date back to the 1950s decade. One would think you would be aware of that.

1965-1966 is more in line with Michigan State's post 1950s pattern of erratic success coupled with sustained mediocrity.

Putting game of the century in all caps doesn't make that special. You're touting a non-winning game as something special. It was called that in 1966 but nobody cares anymore. There have been 1000 better games since than stop living in the past bud.

Common thought after last Saturday seemed to be that ACC (FSU, Clemson or Duke, FSU), SEC (SEC Champ, Alabama), and B1G (Ohio State, Michigan State) would get 2 with NIU swiping the 4th at large slot. A second team from the Big XII was likely in the on-deck circle to replace NIU, although Oklahoma vs. Oregon for the honor of dying in the Sugar Bowl is pretty much a dead heat.
