TheBigFiz21
Did anyone notice this? One of the FS stations (Memphis or FL) has city names on the scoreboard during Magic-Grizzlies, but the one in LA uses the team nicknames instead for Clippers-Raptors. TheBigFiz21
On a side note, I'd like to share one of my favorite set of graphics. The NBA on TNT from 2002-2005 has the best look in their history. Even Studio J (which dates back to maybe 2000 or 2001 IIRC) looked its best around this time too.
AstroCreep
Last year the TBS scorebug was too big and now this year it's too small. You need a magnifying glass for it.
Tracy Jordan
Is there any word on whether TNT will be updating their NBA graphics package this season? I wish they would add a little more flavor ala team logos into their scoring bug. And I totally agree with you @TheBigFiz21, the 2002-2005 NBA on TNT graphics were amazing. I also really liked ESPN's NBA graphics during that same time period.
NeauXone
So now instead of trying to look cool, the broadcasters are now going for the modern and trendy look. Why can't everyone be like NBC where they have the futuristic look but still manage to make it look nice an clean? Instead we get this flat, basic BS. AstroCreep
They finally changed the scorebug. Is it too much to move it to the top left corner?

Got me beat by a few clicks and a FiOS log-in. But yeah, kinda saw this coming. FOX learned their lesson after using a bar in 2008 Edit: They also went the way of ESPN and added their own pitch tracker (as you can see with the zone box). There's a speed marker to go alongside the pitch coordinate too (kinda like in MLB: The Show)
AstroCreep
I really hate that FOX continues to use the NFL song for MLB games. I want the old (more superior) theme song again.

Hopefully we get something. Just look how often they've changed in recent years: 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. They've never held on to a package for more than 2-3 seasons lately

Not a fan. Also saw this setup while they ran an (enormous) ad for Chevy. I much prefer this smaller box with just the abbreviations. Pardon the crappy photo. EDIT: So when there's a 4-on-4 situation, the bar gets LONGER, putting that info and clock to the right of the game clock. Ridiculous. Love all the supporting graphics (bumper scores, player comparisons, lower thirds) but the hockey score bar is just ham-fisted. RyanMcD29
The FoxBox looks good on baseball (well, minus the K-Zone), not good on hockey 2 Quote Twitter: @RyanMcD29

Oh no, you're not alone. I don't like the new Fox Bug either. I've said many times that these new scorebugs are blending together. ESPN, FOX and CBS look exactly the same.
NeauXone
Now I hate to double post, but Sunday Night Football is the gold standard for what a score bug should be. No flat BS, it's fairly clean, and something to actually make it unique and stand out. I could take the fox score bug and place it over NFL on CBS and I wouldn't notice a difference, however if i took the 2014-2016 FoxBox and put it on Monday Night Football, something would definitely look wrong. A good graphics package should also stick with you instantly, you should be able to say "This game's on CBS!". The only reason why I can recognize this new FOX bug is because I will either become used to it, or I'll just say "that's the boring one". It shouldn't be like that but everyone's so obsessed with being simple and clean that building an identity and focusing on the little things is irrelevant nowadays. Also, for reference, here's Sunday Night Football

CreamSoda
I really like the Fox bug for baseball. Very clean, necessary info is large, and good secondary info.
Curtos07
I love Fox's new baseball graphics. I would go as far as saying it is their best graphics package they've ever had for baseball. Still think their football scorebar is a little too plain, but it works for baseball. TBS on the other hand..what the hell are they thinking? I am so tired of TBS broadcasting playoff baseball games. Everything about their broadcasts suck. From their announcers ( love Ernie Johnson, but he's not a PBP guy), their theme music, their camera work, etc is bad.
