And Louisville's journey back to irrelevance shifts into high gear.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

I don't think that's a good hire for Texas at all. It feels like Texas had a list of candidates with Strong being firmly at the very bottom of that list, and they basically had to settle with him when everyone else said no thanks.

Well Penn State is apparently targeting 3 coaches to take over for O'Brien...Al Golden, Mike Munchak, and James Franklin.

Judging from some of the rumors after that Vanderbilt gang rape over the summer I suspect Franklin would also botch the "how would you handle learning your DC is a pedophile" question.

Charlie Strong will take the Texas job after all.

Here's my short list for the Louisville job:

  • Bobby Petrino- Western Kentucky HC
  • Chad Morris- Clemson OC
  • Pat Narduzzi- Michigan State DC
  • James Franklin- Vandy HC
  • Rich Rodriguez- Arizona HC
  • David Cutcliffe- Duke HC

Not sure why those last three would leave bigger schools to go to Louisville. Especially Franklin, who is in the running at Penn State and the Titans.
