My first 4 games:

Cal poly vs Texas southern

Mount saint Mary's vs wofford

Stanford vs Louisiana tech

Dayton vs Green Bay

There is no way Louisiana Tech or Green Bay gets in over Minnesota, Florida State, or Nebraska. And Stanford has a much better resume than the teams that will be playing in the First Four games.

That fourth 1 seed is going to be really hard to call if Michigan loses tomorrow. I'm leaning towards the winner of the ACC Championship, but Duke, UVA, and Villanova all have really similar resumes.

I think Nebraska is the last bye and in Minnesota and Florida st have no good quality wins. If virgina beats duke that's the big win Green Bay can hang there hat on. The selection people usually like to give one mid-major a last bid in and Green Bay fits the case IMO. Lousania tech, well the bubble IS soft this year is it not?

My First Four Games:

16: Weber State Wildcats vs. Cal Poly Mustangs

16: Texas Southern Tigers vs. Albany Great Danes

14: George Washington Colonials vs. Tennessee Volunteers

14: Iona Gaels vs. Colorado Buffaloes

Overall Number One: Florida, no matter what happens on Sunday.

You know mount saint Mary's is a lock for that play in game cause the BEC is a weak conf and that are 16-16.......and Iona???? Who have they beat??? Wishful thinking. GW is not a first four team more a 10-11 seed and safely in.

I really hope the billion-dollar reward is not messing with us too much. We are arguing about the difference between the 4th and 6th-worst teams in the tournament.

This is my reasoning, so far:

1st column: highest rated teams from each conference have conference listed here

2nd column: 2nd-worst rated teams from each conference have conference listed here

3rd column: number of titles team has won since 1988 season (1988-2013) :0)

4th column: team name

5th column: number of team wins (yeah, it's 100% accurate)

6th column: Points, "accumulated wins," "the total sum of the wins of beaten opponents at the time the listed team beat their opponents")

*This list has been eerily similar to the Top 25 throughout the year

**Games thru Saturday, March 15 (there are five conference championships left before Selection Sunday...Tomorrow!)

Florida State has top 50 wins over VCU, UMass, and @Pitt. Only bad loss is Miami and that's barely a bad loss. RPI is 53. SOS is 33.

Minnesota has top 50 wins over Ohio State and Wisconsin with bad losses to Northwestern and @Purdue. RPI is 49. SOS is 5.

Green Bay's only top 50 win is UVA with bad losses to Milwaukee (twice) and a really bad loss @Valpo. RPI is 57. SOS is 158.

For the record, the Bracket Matrix, which averages pretty much every legitimate site's projections has all three of these teams out. It just shows how far Green Bay is from having a shot.

I think Nova's loss to Seton Hall knocks them out, the ACC winner will get the last #1 if Michigan loses, if the Wolverines win, they'll be the fourth #1 IMO.

I still think Florida will be #1 overall win or lose, with Zona's loss last night, they'll fall down to the 3, and I think the Shockers will be the second #1.

well lets see Arizona lost there conference tourney, Louisville won theirs. so thats my thinking on leaving Arizona off that list, i can see them as the top 2 seed. Louisville is playing good right now, sure some of there conference mates are GOD awful(im looking at you Rutgers, UCF-USF) but smoking uconn and beating cincy gives them points IMO. they seem to be getting hot at the right time. I'm just not buying Arizona going deep in the tournament.

There's a difference between who you think is going to go deep in the tournament and where teams will get seeded. Looking at who won their conference tournament on its own doesn't make any sense, just like where teams place in the regular season or what their conference record is. Arizona's list of quality wins (most of which are on the road or neutral sites) blows Louisville's out of the water.

They haven't officially used last 12 games for a few years. Mainly because that is highly dependent on a team's schedule at the end of the season.

I'm a die-hard fan of UofL but even I agree with this. Louisville's best OOC win was Louisiana-Lafayette. Now if they were in the ACC, they would be in the discussion of a 1 seed without a doubt.

So St. Joseph's, who was on the bubble coming into today, wins the A-10 tournament over VCU. March madness indeed.

Whoever was doing the call for that game was great for CBS. Pair of really old guys who I don't recognize because I rarely watch college basketball.

It also satisfies me to see Shaka Smart lose.
