Remember that teams may have originally been a seed higher, but had to be moved down to accommodate teams from the same conference.

Not totally surprised about no SMU. The selection committee doesn't love Larry Brown like ESPN and they had some really bad losses.

I'm not shocked that SMU got passed over for NC State. The Wolfpack reached the ACC semifinals... SMU flamed out in it's opening game in the American. Simple as that.

SMU is probably going to the NIT

The Midwest is this year's "Region of Death." Wichita St. alongside Duke? Michigan? Louisville? Kentucky? Sheesh.

Also 3 of the top 4 seeds of the region went to the Final Four last year so that makes it even tougher.

Call me crazy but I have Mount St. Mary's winning to get in and they upset Florida.

How is Wisconsin a #2 seed and Louisville a #4

Because Louisville's SOS is 80 and Wisconsin's is 2.

Final Four/Champ. Game predictions:

SOUTH - Florida, beating Albany, Pitt, VCU, and Syracuse

EAST - Michigan State, beating Delaware, Harvard, Virginia, and Iowa State

WEST - Arizona, beating Weber State, Gonzaga, SDSU, and (barely) Wisconsin

MIDWEST - Louisville, beating Manhattan, St. Louis, Kentucky, and (barely) Michigan in a Champ. Game repeat from '13

Michigan State beats Florida, pulling away late with <1 minute to go in the game, while Louisville dominates for most of their game against 'Zona, winning by a final margin of 10-15 points. Louisville wins in a 5-7 pt. game against Michigan State to repeat as champs

Let the criticism begin B)

I can't believe Syracuse is a 3 seed. They bombed out at the end of the season; I wouldn't at all have been surprised to see them as a 5 or even a 6.

I think it's really all academic, anyway. No team is as good as Florida this season, and I think the title is theirs to lose.

All five people on Bracketology all chose Michigan State. Damn, they're going to be boned if MSU gets upset at some point early on. It's not that they're wrong, it's just the surprise in seeing such a diverse opinion seeking topic being universally agreed upon like that. It literally never happens when there isn't a consensus best team (a la 2012 Kentucky).

I'm a little surprised that so many people are picking Michigan State for the same reason. That's who my pick is, but I think this is one of the years that it's wide open. I think MSU is definitely the best team when they're at full strength, but that's rarely been the case. They rolled through the Big Ten Tournament, but Gary Harris got knocked up and missed a good amount of time in the second half today.

For the homer portion of my post...Illinois got a 2 seed in the NIT and will play at Boston U. and Indiana didn't make it, no complaints here.
