"The United States and Mexico don't play anybody in qualifying."

(Say the people who had Montenegro as their stiffest challenge to qualify...)

It's definitely safe to say that CONCACAF is now a three team show with Costa Rica joining the US & Mexico at the top of the heap.

How many times is it now that we've had 2 goals in a span of 5 or so minutes? 1-1 Ecu-Hon

-Chile had 2 vs Australia

-Costa Rica against Uruguay

-Italy scored, followed by England moments later

- Cote D'Ivoire vs Japan, 2 quick ones for the Elephants

-France potted a couple quick ones against Honduras

-Ghana tied 'er up, but the Brooks came right back for the States

-Robben then Cahail in the NED-AUS game

- Australia's 2-1 goal, followed by a quick one by the Dutch

-The 2-0 goal for the Colombians, followed by Gervinho's for CIV yesterday

- France's 2 first goals today vs Switzerland

- Honduras' opener, followed by the Ecuadorian one that tied it up

That's 11, 2 games passed the half-way point of the group stage.

I was always hoping that FIFA would come out with a better ranking system instead of this crap they have now. We might be having to wait longer as long as Blatter is in charge. I know many of the FIFA Board of Executives have gone on record for liking the system, wanting to revamp it due to it not truly representing a national team's performance over a period of time.

Of course, the FIFA ranking system isn't as bad as the country and club coefficients system that UEFA employs.

The big players step up at the time when you need them. Messi carry this on and you will be crowned the Worlds Greatest EVER.

Also, I thought Ray Hudson's commentary on TV is odd, his Twitter feed is just as hilarious.

"What`s the difference between #England and a tea-bag? A tea-bag stays in the cup longer."

No, the real difference is that a tea bag only ends up in hot water the once...

Add another one there. Germany-Ghana, 1-1.
