Nyk33
"The United States and Mexico don't play anybody in qualifying."(Say the people who had Montenegro as their stiffest challenge to qualify...)It's definitely safe to say that CONCACAF is now a three team show with Costa Rica joining the US & Mexico at the top of the heap. TorinK92
I just wonder how good Bryan Oviedo would have been in this world cup, or he could have even hurt the Costa Rican team.

TalktoChuck
The Fifa rankings have always been suspect. The FIFA rankings are the like the top 25 polls in college. They don't mean anything. You learn to just ignore them.
VictoriaGooner
I was always hoping that FIFA would come out with a better ranking system instead of this crap they have now. We might be having to wait longer as long as Blatter is in charge. I know many of the FIFA Board of Executives have gone on record for liking the system, wanting to revamp it due to it not truly representing a national team's performance over a period of time.Of course, the FIFA ranking system isn't as bad as the country and club coefficients system that UEFA employs.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient THE SHORT FUSE | ARSEBLOG

A tea-bag stays in the cup longer." I saw, I came, I left.
