this may sound a bit farfeched, but one thing i would like to see is the nfl to adopt the captains patch to be more like the font used for the team like in the nhl.

It's something that tends to come in and out of fashion, rather than being a totally new introduction - there were some clubs using pinstripes (and pinhoops, for that matter) way back in Victorian times.

The shoulder yoke look was started in the NFL in the early 1920s with the Canton Bulldogs.

The NHL didn't start using it until over a decade later, but it is more synonymous with hockey than football

One of the few things I like about the RBK Edge jerseys are the collars. I believe this was a design element taken from football uniforms.

I actually like all those looks you mentioned.

Tight fitting jerseys are ok in football because with the pads, they aren't actually skin tight. Basketball? Heh. You can get away with it somewhat tight. Baseball and hockey? Hell no.

Tight fitting jerseys are ok in football because with the pads, they aren't actually skin tight. Basketball? Heh. You can get away with it somewhat tight. Baseball and hockey? Hell no.

They tried it in hockey. The on-ice Edge cuts were originally much tighter then the previous CCM cuts, and players complained about it. Eventually Reebok just redesigned the on-ice Edge sweaters so that they now use a cut closer to the old "baggy" CCM sweaters.

It's funny how sleeves have gone in opposite directions in football and baseball over the last 50+ years (obviously these are generalizations and there are many exceptions)

Footballs an improvement, baseball is a downgrade. And where does basketball jerseys fall into place here? No sleeves to short sleeves? (eventually)
