  1. As I understand it, they have assured the traditional broadcast partners (FOX, CBS, NBC) that prices won't come down to the point that they (FOX et al.) won't risk losing viewers to this service. Translation - it will likely still be an all or nothing option.
  2. They moved from various locations, including Cleveland - Los Angeles - Anaheim - St. Louis - Los Angeles
  3. This will likely be the issue for all fields that are NFL-controlled. Unless the NFL has a stake in a spring league, they are, IMO, unlikely to grant the use of their facilities.
  4. Right - but why would they get 25-30000 per game? I think a more realistic figure is maybe 10000. If attendance is going to grow, it isn't going to go from the numbers in Birmingham (even those when Birmingham was playing) up to 25-30K overnight.
  5. If they went to Alabama, they missed a good game. It was in Canton, Ohio
  6. Well, the Browns are the NFL's story, so I get that one. If the Cardinals were 88, then it would make sense for the Patriots to be 60. Yup - 71.
  7. I'm torn. They didn't move, but they did change their name. If Washington is 22, I agree that New England ought to be 71.
  8. Hey guys - Ken Anderson is a semi-finalist for the Senior Division of the Hall of Fame (or something like that). https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/07/07/pro-football-hall-of-fame-announces-semifinalists-for-coach-contributor-seniors/
  9. I just saw that on twitter and was going to post it here.
  10. There was nobody out. He had to go home. What the hell did I just watch?
  11. I keep reading all of this and chuckling. UW is already IN the Big Ten #LetsGoRed Sorry - carry on. Nothing to see here.
  12. I think that very fact (i.e., younger fans don't know their team's history) has been proven on this very part of the interweb.
  13. I've seen it in person, but seeing it and comparing it to another color that isn't on the field isn't where I think I could go.
  14. An odd number of teams is unworkable from a scheduling standpoint. Period. Itwould have to be an even number of teams contracted, and @BBTV pointed out some of those problems.
  15. You know it's Angel Hernandez when the call is referenced as ' that missed somewhere apparently '.
  16. That was the B1G that did that. I'm not aware of the Pac-12 also doing it.
  17. I'd be surprised, if only because it lengthens the amount of time that they get in-conference backlash. We'll see. I agree that there will be more dominoes, one way or the other.
  18. There was a June 30 deadline to get out, which is why this happened as quickly as/when it did. nobody else is leaving the Pac-12 NOW unless it falls apart from the inside.
  19. For football, yes. Overall no. IMO. I think @oldschoolvikingswould agree with me.
  20. Why? Do you also hate seeing Penn State play a conference game against Michigan?
  21. Didn't this already happen when the Big Ten had to hide its 11 in the name? #Enormous10
  22. I'm anxious to see where this goes, because I read some pretty firm denials of this story earlier today. Get your popcorn, folks!
  23. Is the part that I bolded actually true? Even if it is, it has no bearing on the second half of that sentence.
