  1. I've been getting the Chrome "aw snap" message a lot lately with this site. I updated chrome and cleared cache, and it's still occurring. Started yesterday evening.
  2. If it was a "prototype", why would it have retail tags?
  3. Can't believe how much better those jerseys look without the white outline. Wish other teams would get the hint.
  4. If you did a shot for every time GDAWG mentioned Vince McMahon in a post, you'd be dead 10x over.
  5. Frankly, anyone that thinks that uniforms need some ad or supplier mark, and look better with than without, should resign from the forum. There's opinions and then there's just craziness.
  6. He's good, but is any announcer worth that much? Even with the sick money that the TV deal's generate? Is the audience going to plummet if they put me in there as the lead color guy? People aren't going to be like "well, I'm not going to watch the game of the week because BBTV is the color guy". You could literally put a robot in there and the ratings would stay the same.
  7. IT's relative. CBP is around 44k and I think that works for them. Making it smaller is like saying that you don't expect to often have good teams. Making it bigger is like saying you always expect to be a contender. That might work for some teams, but I think 44 is the sweet spot for the Phillies. The downside is that when they're good, the secondary market is obscene because they'll sell out 5 or more straight seasons. The good side is that when they're usually bad, even 25k doesn't look too bad in a 44k park (except when most of the premium seats behind home plate are empty - that's certainly not a good look.
  8. BBTV saw, whilst sitting on a bench sipping cappucino in Riga Latvia, a Dinamo Riga team bus with Arturs Irbe's (among others') image on the side pass in front of him. Not certain but pretty sure that Irbe was the first of said Latvian goalies.
  9. That's not how it works. Unless it's in the contract, it's not like those companies own the designs or individual team branding. They do what the league tells them to, and just slap their logo on it. The league can leverage their in-house design teams, but I'm not sure why they'd want to when they just made a sizeable investment in branding.
  10. This isn't getting enough likes. Why the underscores?
  11. Not sure how you expect anyone to answer if you don’t post the proposed name.
  12. Of course he's going to say that. He has to. Either Tampa will et scarred and pony up for a full-time park, Montreal will get excited and just build something that would allow them to have the team full time, or it actually happens and becomes a case study. I doubt that any of them actually think the split-season thing will work, but the more they support it, the more likely the local gorernments will seize the opportunity to build a new dome stadium.
  13. I never thought they were the best, but I really liked them too. Even in hindsight, I think they're salvageable with only minor mods. The biggest being removing the black side panel from the teal one. I think that's a popular opinion. The blue version of it (once they scrapped the wordmark in the diagonal stripe) was also sweet. The black mucked the whole set up though. The Braves wouldn't really be a problem if they just retired the chop and didn't come out with stupid hats like the cancelled one from a few years ago. In a vacuum, I don't think there's much issue with their current branding - at least I haven't heard much about it.
  14. One of you could be Han Dynasty and the other Qin Dynasty.
  15. I think it's just up to your personal preference. I like the option 4 look best (black pants, white center stripe, white socks), but the inverse stripe and red socks is fine too. My 'rule' is just that - mine. It's by no means an objective design guideline, just my preference.
  16. I was thinking the point would go down, but I also really like the way you did it. The only thing is that IMO if the stripes are wider at the bottom, then the middle stripe shoudl probably match the socks - which I think works well the way you did it... as long as they don't decide to mix and match. WHen you look at when the current set was unveiled, the pants were absolutely designed to go with certain color socks - they then deviated from that. Notice how the wide part of the stripe matches the socks.
  17. If you have to ask, the answer is no. If you're that concerned, make it a dentist and go with Dr.Pepper_DMD
  18. I'd go with white socks to create a more balanced look. Maybe stripes, but in 2020 nobody wears 'official' socks, so solid white would be the way to go. ALso have a gray option, incase they wear the black pants with the black/gray jersey. Otherwise, this is a strong concept. One other suggestion: Can't see the side of the pants, but they look solid. I'd go with some detail that kinda matches the sleeves. I'm really not sure of the best way to pull this off, since the middle sleeve stripe matches the pants color, but one of two options might work: Make a long (but not touching the bottom) slightly tapered stripe that matches the number color, and then two shorter also-tapered stripes that match the outer stripes on the sleeve. Or, just mimic the sleeve stripes, including the coloring between stripes, so the middle one could still match the pants color. I'd keep the coloring between stripes very thin though, so you could still maintain a sleek / narrow profile on the stripes.
