TheOldRoman
The way the Warriors play is almost unfair. Not that they're cheating, but their ability to so consistently hit the three -- from multiple shooters -- feels like they're playing with cheat codes on. The last few moments of the Grizzlies game were brutal. Memphis kept on cutting the lead to 10, or 9, or 8, but Golden State would pop it right back up to 13, 12 or 11. Being on the other side of a game like that must feel so defeating. This season has clearly defined the importance of having consistent three-point shooting -- both Atlanta and Golden State have gotten as far as they have on the strength of it. Memphis made it seem like they could muscle Golden State out, but eventually raining three-pointers will overwhelm the best defenses.Houston also has three-point plays as part of their offense, but they do it the traditional way. Harden plays inside, gets fouled, and either shoots two or completes a three-point play. Howard too, except I'm not sure if he's good anymore. It all feels so obvious. Great teams used to have a single three-point guy -- Steve Kerr, Robert Horry, and so on -- that it seems absurd we didn't figure this out sooner. Having three or four guys able to reliably shoot three-pointers is a huge competitive advantage. Who knew? The problem is that until the last 15 years or so, the best three point shooters were exclusively smallish, generally unathletic shooting guards. If you had more than one Steve Kerr on the court at a time, you were getting torched on defense.

Unocal
Regardless of what happens here, they're gonna be the heel against the face Warriors.
Fishplatter
If the Clippers lose today, that's it. They're chokers. They are the second-best team in the Western Conference. Give me a break. I want championships!
habsfan1
As of right now, they're trailing by 20. By the end of the game, they'll be trailing by 30 or more. It's going to be a large blowout.
Unocal
Houston is the most individual first team I've seen. They don't play like a team, but they win a lot of games just on individual talent.
FiddySicks
I would've tather seen the Clippers than the Rockets, but I don't particularly dislike Houston. A Northern California team vs Arizona State's best ever basketball player? Hey, I could get on board with that. Unocal
The Clippers and Rockets both were 56-26. Had LA finished with one more win, would they have had homecourt or did Houston's division title guarantee that?

Fishplatter
The Clippers are disappointing. Chris Paul is too heavy. He needs to lose some weight. I want championships!
The Six
Who's enjoying the Clippers losing more....the folks that don't like the Clippers, or the misery-loving, woe-is-me, I-hate-sports, sports-are-never-fun Clipper fans? This is a stupid post. Unocal
If James Harden hadn't hit that game winner against the Sixers in November, this game 7 would have been in LA. And Josh Smith is in a conference final- who says good things don't happen to bad apples?

Unocal
Well, it took 2 years, but the 2013 Knicks (Shumpert, Smith, Prigioni) are in the Eastern Conference Finals!
Unocal
Clippers. Need. Bench. Guys. I look at the Warriors and you never see guys like Klay/Curry/Draymond exhausted. Why? Because they have guys like Livingston/Barbosa and Speights to fill in.
Unocal
I'm rooting for the top seeds because they are real TEAMS with real coaches. Houston is just a bunch of talented individuals, Cleveland doesn't have a real coach.
Lights Out
Wasn't surprising in the least. This team needs severe changes in the offseason. Can't bring the same core back for a fifth chance. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/
