See Clippers fans? This is why no one likes you. Your team wins the first-round seven-game series of the decade, has a 3-2 lead in the second round with a game to go at home, and you crap on them.

It was a do-or-die for the Rockets and they were playing at home. The 2014-15 Clippers aren't the 1998 Bulls. It was VERY likely the Rockets would pick up that game to go down swinging. If I've learned anything about the Clippers this postseason is that you can't count them out, and they rebound very well from bad losses. And I don't even like the damn team!

You need to not be so manic about this year. The Clippers are officially good. And sometimes good is good enough -- if your enjoyment requires them sweeping the playoffs, you might need a new hobby.

Don't need you to like me. I don't wear rose colored glasses as a fan, and I'll call it like I see it. Sure Houston came to save their season, but the Clippers didn't exactly make it hard. They had no sense of urgency from tip off and were drinking their own Kool-Aid.

I'm not looking for a sweep, but I am expecting effort. That ring isn't going to just be handed to them.

Snotty condescending posts like this are why nobody likes you, actually.

The Clippers' playoff history is terrible and they just blew off a closeout game. We have never been to a conference finals, yet the players saw fit to shrug that off and not give any effort tonight, instead choosing to tempt fate by extending the series. And yes, it was very obvious from minute one of the game that the Clippers weren't even trying. They chose to bend over and let Houston "go down swinging" with minimal resistance.

That game brought back flashbacks of the 2006 Suns choke, the 2012 Grizzlies near-choke, the 2013 Grizzlies choke, and of course, the 2014 OKC choke. Fans are understandably not going to be happy about this.

A franchise's playoff history doesn't mean shee-ot to this year's team. Losing a second game to the 2-seed Rockets has no god-damn connection to the 2006 series to the Suns or any of the other series' you mentioned. If playoff history means something, neither the Hawks or Wizards should win their series because neither team has advanced to the conference finals in nearly 40 years.

Hey, the Rockets are getting paid to play/coach, too! Imagine that....a collection of professionals bringing their best effort when their season is on the line! Never seen that before in pro sports! Here come the ghosts of Kwame Brown and Michael Olowokandi!

You're never genuinely excited about sports, you hardly celebrate your teams' victories without complaining about something, and you become Chicken Little whenever one of your teams lose a game. DG is right....why are you watching sports when they upset you more than excite you?

I'm not sure why people are still insisting on telling others how to be sports fans, but whatever. You can have fun with that.

This loss brought to light the issue with the Clips, which is lack of depth. Even with their two superstars playing well, they still lost, which doesn't happen often with NBA teams. Griffin and Paul had good games, but Crawford still hasn't found his touch, Barnes was off, and the bench wasn't working. The Clippers need so many things to go right to win these games, and Paul's not getting the time off he needs to rest and heal.

The Clippers finally don't suck and not only are you not enjoying the ride you're actively choosing not to enjoy it. It's sort of confirming what I've always suspected about LA Clippers fans - they're the Laker contrarians whose identity was contained in being the counter culture to show time. For a lot of Clippers fans the constant losing was endearing and part of the whole cache. Now that they are showtime those people are having an identity crisis. It's like when Red Sox fans turned into Yankees fans after 2007.

I agree with DG. Clippers fans are weird.

Yeah, :censored: us for not being happy about losing a game! Actual fandom is for Lakers, Celtics, Bulls and Spurs fans only!

Who isn't "enjoying the ride," by the way? The postseason run has been fun so far, but this particular game was a disappointment - not because they lost but because they didn't try. And if they blow a 3-1 lead and lose in the second round again (which is slightly more possible now thanks to that mudstomping last night), "the ride" stops being fun and starts being embarrassing. That's all anyone is saying.

I'm not sure how cool it is to basically describe any fanbase other than that of the St. Louis Cardinals as subhuman.

You're actively choosing to ignore the positive posts Clippers fans have made, like after the San Antonio series win.

I can sympathize. Whenever things are going well for the Vikings, many fans are waiting for the other shoe to drop. And it always does.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Or the Cubs...

These newfangled Internet message boards make the ups and downs of individual series just unbearable.

And the twitters make it worse because it sways from "fire everyone!" to "champions!" with every momentum swing... mid-game.

Back in my day, we only had to listen to postgame radio callers demand trades of a team's best players mid-slump. But only the ones who were willing to wait on hold 45 minutes. And phones used to have cords, so sometimes you just had to give up and go to the bathroom. And then you felt better.

This kind of sums it up. If the Warriors get past Memphis, I'm actually salivating at the prospect of them playing either of these teams because They leave a LOT to be desired when it comes to depth. I feel like they'd absolutely blow the doors off of Houston, and eventually the Clipers lack of depth will shine through.

Jumping ahead a bit, of course, but I like the Warriors chances in either of those matchups.

As another Clipper fan, I did find the other night's loss utterly disappointing and even frustrating, but I still believe that they can still get the job done. The Rockets aren't all that mentally-tough of a team, but I'll give the devils their due...they knew that they were 48 minutes away from being eliminated, and actually came to play.

I could care less what other teams' fans think about of us...hell, every team's fanbase bitches and moans even about the smallest things. You can't fault us Clippers fans for wanting some more after so many years of ineptness.
