Thirteen great entries will compete for the gold!

The requirements for this event were:

The World Hockey Association is finally coming back!! Well, not really. But for the sake of this event, let's say it does! You have to create a league logo for the second coming of the World Hockey Association (WHA).

  • You have to include both the acronym (WHA) and the full name of the league on the logo.
  • Your logo can be a modernization of the old WHA logo.
  • You will have to provide two instances of the logo: one colored version and a black and white version (not grayscale, both on a white background.
  • Put both instances on the same image when submitting.

List your 3 favorites, ranked 1, 2, 3.

The vote closes on Thursday, November 19th, 11:59AM Eastern Time (three days from now).

Voting is now over.

The voting will be open to public voting once the event is officially over. Once the finalists have been posted in the event thread, voting will be open for 3 days.

Judging is open to all board members registered BEFORE October 1st. This is to ensure no one is voting for themselves under an alternate login.

Members may vote once per event and may not vote for their own entry (I'll know if you did, and will not count your vote). You may not disclose the identity of any of the designers of the entries until voting closes.

Voting will be via the 3-2-1 points method. Voters will be asked to post their choice for a gold, silver and bronze winner. Gold votes are worth 3 points, Silver worth 2, Bronze worth 1.

My top 3:

  1. Entry 4 (I'm a sucker for that creativity)
  2. Entry 2 (interesting double roundel form)
  3. Entry 5 (not sure how much I like rwb for a "World" league, especially with a red Earth)

Honorable mentions:

  • Entry 3 (didn't get enough of a "World" vibe from an otherwise solid logo)
  • Entry 11 (great logo, but I felt like Dan O'Mac in terms of it seeming like a playoff or championship logo)
  • Entry 12 (I like the concept but the execution wasn't there)
