twi
I don't even know how I feel. Going to miss the feeling of that joy when Dempsey scored right away against Ghana in '14 when I'm watching next summer.
FiddySicks
Or, and this might not make some here happy, we can just drop the farce that we really care about soccer. Soccer has has never been our sport (On the men's side, anyway), and outside of the PNW, it's never really been more than a niche. This literally could kill the remaining interest Americans have in soccer, at least in terms of it being on par with the rest of the world. Oddly (even as a fan and someone who works for a soccer team) I think I'm ok with that. Let the the rest of the world do soccer. They do it extremely well as it is. We don't have to have everything. Needschat
Goodbye current Federation members! Hello true second division: FC Cincy, TB Rowdies, basically all those who have expressed expansion interest, including St. Louis. Let's develop scorers! Let's screw the collegiate system, create more academies, create a hockey-like junior system. Oh what could have been....

My area has two lower Division I teams - UatAlbany and Siena - one DII in College of St Rose, and three DIII true teams - Union, RPI, and Skidmore, plus quasiDIII in Cobleskill and Sage, plus CC in Hudson Valley, Adirondack. NY Capital District could have an academy or a junior team for the over 18 player, and they could attend college as well. The NCAA is not a friend to the Federation. Oh what could have been.... I'm an advocate for doing this across all sports in North America and subverting the horrifically corrupt NCAA myself but it's really another discussion for another day. We're going to see it and soon! Football will still use college names, but something like the College Football Alliance will be created, same with men's basketball. All profits, and there will be, will be used to fund the other sports. Oh what could have been....

DG_ThenNowForever
At the end of the game, they were talking about putting Wondo in. If there's any single reason why we deserved to lose, that's it. Wondo shouldn't have been on the roster, much less anywhere near the game. Arena had a great start to his tenure with USMNT, but his final WCQ roster choices were puzzling. Bradley, Howard, Guzan, Gonzalez, Wondo, and -- sadly -- Dempsey all gotta go. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
