Minor/Independent/Collegiate League Baseball Logo/Uniform Changes

I thought that was just a rough concept logo at first, but apparently it's real. Why is only one of the three outline rings in gold? The name "Ballers" is also pretty underwhelming. Given all of that, plus the logo looking like a close ripoff, this really feels like a rushed attempt at giving the A's the finger.

It sounds like a name for a basketball team.

Right? This appears to be more of a publicity stunt than a serious attempt to start a baseball club.

Also, the Pioneer League's Missoula PaddleHeads have an alternative identity that is the PowderHeads:

Bought a hat with the Snowboarding moose on it because hot damn, this is just too fun of a look not to buy a piece of merchandise for. I'll post the hat when it arrives.

Yes, it does, given that the franchise has been using the name since 1901.

and previous incarnations of the Philadelphia Athletics existing even before that. Pretty much since pro baseball has existed has there been a major league team known as the Athletics.

Exactly. If you question if "Athletics" sounds like a baseball team name, it's like asking if the Yankees wear pinstripes.

And, yes, "Ballers" does sound like the name of a basketball team. Google "Ballers" or "Ballerz" and you're going to get an abundance of basketball-related results.

It's an improvement over the last one, but there's still too much going on. The state shape not only has four strokes around it, but they tried to cram in a river! and seven trees! and hills! and a sky! and a baseball! and four different colors!

The shadowing around the word "Naturals" in the primary is also too...blobby? Especially underneath the letters.

Navy, gold, red and teal is quite the exuberant color scheme.

I quite like the primary logo and the top left N, but there's too many logos here.

They took the Minnesota Wild, and made it baseball. Honestly, great work. While it is another Blue/Red team, much to the dismay of the guy who always complains of red and blue teams, the yellow more than makes up for it to make it pop, while the teal isnt overpowering.
