What. A. Comeback. Thank you, Toronto... your hubris was delicious to feast on.

Now comes Houston. I can see the M's taking one game or maybe two... but not winning it here. The Astros are far more rested and prepped for this series.

They have failed this city and the rest of Canada...

OK... sure, Jan....

Yes, it was an epic collapse, but I would argue (even though I was too young to notice)  the 1985 ALCS was tougher to swallow.

I saw, I came, I left.

Don't understand how replay gets it wrong.  Harper was clearly safe at second base.  Makes me wonder if they actually reviewed it, or if there's some communications issue and they just say "screw it, call stands".

Should be 2nd and 3rd nobody out.  Now STL is going to get out of this inning.

If/when STL comes back to win this, this BS replay will be huge.

That's Ms win was amazing. After they were down 4-0 I was ready to hope for the best tomorrow, but here we go! No matter what, Seattle is hosting a home playoff game for the first time in 21 years. Tickets are going to be stupid expensive, but I'm going to try.

Terrible loss for the Jays; that crowd was amped and deserves a winner.

For the sake of some consistency I say this: no fan base "deserves" a winner.  Yes, this hurts, but maybe I've seen too many Leafs playoff failures that this doesn't seem to hurt nearly as much.

And now the home plate umpire blows a K and puts a guy at first so Pujols can come up as the tying run.

ARod is actually pretty good as an analyst.  I like what he brings to the broadcast.  The jabroni doing PBP is either half asleep or hasn't watched too much baseball.  Really hope he doesn't get any more Phillies games if they're fortunate enough to get out of this and move on.

EDIT: bull 💩.  Should be nobody on and two out, now it's two on with one out and the MVP batting for STL.  And another bad call by the plate umpire.  Makes me wonder if the league or ESPN wants to get one more game out of this series, or at least one more game for Pujols.  Not seriously, but also not not seriously.

Not sure what's worse.  Piece of 💩 Nick Castellanos, or the way this PBP guy says his name, which is different than how everyone else in the world - including Castellanos does.  Really tired of this guy.  And the TV is ahead of the radio so no way to sync the local broadcast.

Castellanos is one of the worst hitters I've ever seen, and that's not hyperbole.  His entire approach is trash - both mentally and physically.  He honestly looks like he's never played the game at any level before.  He's been an automatic out all year, and at this point not only provides no protection to the hitter in front of him, but actively reduces their chances of winning.  Can't even put balls in play to move runners or hope that there's errors.

EDIT:  Holy balls, what a play by Hicks.  I'm obviously not rooting for the Cardinals, but that was incredible.

Mariners I love you. I know you probably won't but please beat Houston, it'd be the funniest sh-t in the world. also J-Rod's a lock for AL ROTY, right?

No disrespect to Julio but Adley Rutschman should win ALROY fairly handily.

 Welp, this aged well. 😛

In all seriousness, that's just...oof. You can't win a playoff series with your offense going 9-78 at the plate. Part of me worries if Stu will look at this and decide to blow it all up so he can just wait for the lease to run out before using poor attendance and ticket sales to book it somewhere else.

I admit, I slept on the Guardians because it's hard to take a team that won the AL Central seriously.

Jays losing doesn't shock me. But I didn't expect them to blow a lead like that. Damn.

Really, REALLY hope the Mariners beat the Astros*.

The announcers need to calm down on the Cardinals d**k riding. "Baseball heaven?" Lol stop.

It's an eazy / cozy place for players to play that can't take pressure.  Nick Castellanos would hit 40HR playing in front of the BFiB.

The BFiB that were again leaving early when it was only 2-0!  Fortunately there were enough Phillies fans to keep the stadium looking respectable.  What a complete marketing fabrication that whole gimmick is.

Both the Cards and Jays had epic collapses the last two days. I don't know which was worse.

The Jays for sure.  The Cardinals were only up by 2 when they imploded.  The Phillies put 6 on them, but only needed 3.  The Mariners needed a hell of a lot more.

Man, rough way for Pujols, Molina, and Wainright to go out. I know most of you here are reveling in it, but I’m bummed to see those guys go.

Hopefully the Phillies can get past Atlanta, but I still don’t really see anyone getting by LA this year. Dare to dream, I guess.

I would much rather watch the Phillies make a deep run than the Braves. like I said before, Philly is a city I actually respect.

yeah idk if you noticed this but a lot of my feelings on some teams are dictated by what city/region they represent

Cardinals were only in the playoffs because they're the Cardinals. A team that somehow always manages  to flip a switch and sneak into the playoffs regardless of how mediocre they look.

I don't hate them, but I never expected them to make a real run at it.

Dodgers are definitely a team I hope chokes in the playoffs. I'm sick of them imitating the 90's Yankees and buying every player that wins MVP.
