For the bulk of the year it's usually in the 7 to 12 degree Farenheit difference range, if both have similar weather. Tucson is currently 10 degrees cooler. You do see more monsoon activity in Tucson, and on those days the difference can get close to 20 sometimes. That's typically only about 3 months (July, Aug, Sep). It's primarily because Tucson is about 1,600 feet higher in elevation. I recall when Wisconsin played at Arizona in football maybe 20 years ago they were in a flooding locker room waiting for a torrential downpour to end. I thought it was a huge anomaly. I'm actually going to Tucson for the first time ever in early December. I'm counting on some nice weather. But that 7-12 degree difference would not do it for me. I don't think I could spend time in either place in the summer. During one of D-Back home games last week I was disappointed the roof was closed but then I found out it had hit 100 that day. It was October 20 or something. And it's not going to get better...(Of course where I live winter is like seven months...) In January 2007, in Springfield we had ice storms that knocked out most of the power in the area for days. Exactly one year later we had tornadoes. Here in Southeast Missouri two years ago, Christmas was 72 degrees. Last Christmas it was 27. Quote https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

No better weather than being in Phoenix/Tucson during this time I’ve spent the vast majority of my life living at like 7,000 feet above sea level so take this for what you will, but Phoenix is uncomfortably hot until like mid December. January-March actually has some legitimately cold nights which are made worse by the houses built to withstand extreme heat (I lived in Tempe Sunset, which is older and contributes to that, but still). Only time out there that’s legit nice is right around Spring Training. Anything after and it’s already in the 90s. I will say this, though. Sacramento summers were so much easier to handle after four years in Phoenix. Still hot, but nothing in comparison. EDIT: Man, I hope this goes 7. What a series already. True, but how often does the trend get bucked like that? I mean, I hope I'm wrong and Arizona can pull it off and they damn near did last night. But with how decisively Texas has played for good chunks of this postseason, I'm having a harder time believing they can botch this in some significant way. FiddySicks
Rangers won last night, but so far the D Backs look like the better team. Excited for Phoenix to finally get another World Series game, and more glad it’s not down 0-2. GDAWG
The D'Backs are the better team, but the Rangers have had a ton of postseason success on the road, so we'll see if that continues on for them, or if the Rangers go 0-3 in franchise history at the World Series. Someone who's been 0-fer at the World Series has to eventually win one right?
Cujo
We've all watched postseason baseball before. How many times have we heard "There's no way there's no way they're losing this series now!" and that team completely flame out and lose the series? (just see the Phillies last week) This Rangers doom and gloom after one bad loss when they're tied 1-1 the series is wildly exaggerated. Texas could dominate the next 3 games and I wouldn't be surprised.
Gary
I could honestly see this series going both ways. All hinges on game 3 pitching. Pfaadt has been damn near dominant this post season, and Scherzer hasn't been pitching well. But we don't know that the roles could be reversed. Plus Luvello has been limiting Pfaadt to 5 innings a game. So do we trust the Diamondbacks bullpen from inning 6 and on?

Texas could dominate the next 3 games and I wouldn't be surprised. If the Rangers are up 3-1 in the series, they need to close out the series this time. The last thing the Rangers fanbase needs is a replay of the 2011 World Series in which the Rangers were one out away from winning the series but a costly error by Nelson Cruz allowed the Cardinals to not only come back to win the game (game 6 if I remember correctly) but win the series. The Rangers fanbase doesn't need a repeat of that. BTW, I was shocked to see Cruz still playing in the MLB in 2023 for the Padres.
