If you play on plastic grass underneath a roof...you might be a redneck. I mean, play in an indoor stadium.

Or use an awning. It's a covered stadium, but you can argue it's outdoor because of the openings. I believe the Mariners have a retractable roof version of this argument.

For me, it's really the plastic grass that makes me lean more toward the indoor side of indoor-outdoor. The Brewers have a retractable roof and windows that open and close, but they play on real grass. Fixed roof and plastic grass = a breezy dome.

I say indoors personally due to the fixed roof. The turf doesn't solve the designation issue for me because of AFF and open-air stadiums that use artificial turf. But I can't call SoFi a dome because I consider a domed stadium to be completely shielded from the elements.

If there's something that blocks rain and/or snow from the playing surface, then that's indoors for all intents and purposes.

If air can freely flow directly through it without interruption, that’s outdoors.

SoFi is an open air stadium under a canopy.

What if the doors are open on either end of the Mercedes Benz Dome

[/sarcasm]

It's where I sit.

The full Texans number font- 4, 6, & 9 are the only three digits with a separate set depending on if it’s first or second for double digit numbers

Despite its quirks, which really don't bother me...I kinda like this number set.

At least with the 49ers and 76ers, those brands are named after historically-significant moments/eras in American history. I'm sorry but naming yourself the 32s because you were "founded" in 1932 is dumb.

I personally don't have any gripes about "Commanders" as a name, just the uniforms from the neck down. That being said, ever since I saw this concept from @mcrosby several years ago (particularly the plane logo), I've been a fan of the name Redtails honoring the Tuskegee Airmen. It keeps the obligatory military theme that the team/league apparently want to keep (because 'MERICA and FOOTBALL).

Not a fan of the name, helmet logo/striping, or inclusion of Red into the uniform, but I really, really love the basics of the home & away of this concept.  Change "REDTAILS" to "WASHINGTON" in Gold on Maroon and Maroon on White, and remove the Red from the pant stripe, and this would be an absolute winner of a uniform.  Perhaps repeat some of those starts from above the sleeve stripe on the pant stripe.  These with the current Washington helmet and a Yellow-Gold mask would be really great.

I actually really like that alternate, too.  For what it's supposed to be, it's a well-done alt.

For the intents of the aesthetics of the game, yes SoFi is indoor. The elements have little to no impact on the play on the field.

It’s an oversized park pavilion

I remember wanting the Jets to get Josh Allen the pass-rusher so he would have ample chances to sack his namesake.

Funny story about Cleveland Gary: initially, Sierra’s Football Pro series didn’t have an NFLPA license. Most players were given random names but Cleveland Gary was given two other Midwestern cities: Toledo Wayne. (Also, Joe Montana was Maurice Dakota.)

I LOVED that series. I think I first got the pro version, and there were only a few fake names.

Yeah I would imagine that 76ers is pretty self explanatory to Americans, but I’ve gotten some questions over the years from people about the 49ers. California history is fascinating and is definitely vital to the construction of this country, but outside of the state, I’d imagine it’s not covered outside of brief glimpses of the old western trails in basic US history. Hell, it’s not even taught well in California schools.

32s, otoh? Yeah, good luck with having people recognize that one.

I think most people learned about the Gold Rush of 1849 in school, usually by tying in the 49ers football team, but with schools these days, I don't know. I don't think some of these kids know how to go to the bathroom.

“Yeah so we named the team 32s because that was the year the franchise was founded”

Some of y’all: “I don’t know why they’re called ‘32s’. It’s so confusing and hard to understand. How could anyone with a functioning brain learn this?”

Except for that one Raiders/Chargers game a few years ago that had a stupid 40 minute lightning delay.
