We're only supposed to bash Michigan while they're rebuilding?🤨

Poor choice of words. I meant they’re in the rebuild this season. Also @infrared41 we’ve been over this on BASS and here. Same goes to Ohio State. I respect their fan base but **** Ohio State.

Will Howard pulled a Dak Prescott

He sure did and it was his own bad clock management a few plays earlier that got him to that point .

It didn't go the way I wanted it to, but it was a good game. That being said, I'm still not sure if both teams are really good or if they're both really overrated.

hey, on that note: Syracuse! we might be looking at a ranked-vs.-ranked Cuse/Pitt matchup next Thursday, which I'm sure will just be a wonderful game for everyone involved.

Syracuse. That's cute. Anyway, I may be undecided on Ohio State and Oregon, but I'm sure Syracuse is overrated. Oh, and go Panthers! 🙃

There’s still a chance they’re undefeated meeting in the American Conference Championship with the Army/Navy game scheduled for the following week

As many times people complained about Ohio State/Michigan possibly doing this. I would love to see this happen. It'd be the reverse of what the other leagues do.

If you looked at Ohio State Twitter, the season is finished. Nevermind that they'll be picked to win all of their remaining games and will likely still make the playoffs with even two losses.

I don't understand anything about minor-league football - specifically the rankings.

Theoretically, the #2 and #3 team in the country are very close to each other.  The expectation should be that on a neutral field, the #2 team should beat the #3 team by a score - probably a FG.

I think it's reasonable to think that if the #2 team goes across the country and falls to the #3 team in their stadium, and it's a super-close game, the rankings should do nothing more than flip (a case could be made that they shouldn't change at all, but that's an argument for a different time.)

But I'm not sure how Penn State - a #4 team that goes across country and barely eeks out a win against an inferior opponent - moves ahead of the former #2 that barely lost a road game to the #3.

Penn State going across the country and battling back against USC was impressive, but not deserving of moving ahead of a team that made a similar road trip, was already ranked ahead of them, and just barely fell to another team that was also ranked ahead of them.

TL;DR - I don't understand how Ohio State can be ranked worse than 3rd.

Ohio State lost. Penn State won. Not that difficult.

Indiana is really good but also we’re bad

Raiola’s not ready yet as a QB, who knows if he’ll ever get there. I doubt with our offensive coaching staff he will, but just a freshman etc.

Can’t run block or scheme open receivers worth a :censored: either.

The defense is fools gold. It’s only really good against bad teams. A good offense picks it apart every time (unless your o-line is Colorado bad, anything above that you’ll move the ball).

It’s essentially the same team as last year. Lotta ball left I guess but I just don’t see this going anywhere under Matt Rhule. I’ll be overjoyed if we can scrap together six, but I don’t see a future where we’re capable of anything above that.

Two years to fix some of the issues and Indiana plays a complete game and bulldozes us in year one. I fear Rhule’s just a product of the pre portal/realignment world.

i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

Texas and Oklahoma look to be quickly realizing what playing a full SEC schedule is really like.

Oregon seems to be having less of a problem with the B1G.

It actually makes me glad that those two are out of the Big 12, as it makes the conference look competitively fun for now.

The B1G has always been either Ohio State or Michigan (or Penn State if we included fringe elite programs). Iowa, Michigan State, and Wisconsin had their moments, but weren't good for long enough.

I agree. A bit weird as an ASU fan to have conference rivals from Florida and Ohio, but I’ve enjoyed it so far.

I’m also REALLY happy to see the two So Cal schools faceplant so early.  They started all of this crap, so it’s good to see it all fall back down on their own heads.

UCLA seem to be perpetually in debt, so I'm not surprised they followed USC to the Big Ten. Having a league TV network that couldn't make them money helped kill off the Pac-12. Commissioners that didn't take the changing landscape of college football into account didn't help either.
