Bama’s found their next man.

DeBoer’s won a lot everywhere he’s been, including an unreal 67-3 record at NAIA Sioux Falls.

I’m curious what the standard will be for him. How long will Bama be willing to wait for another title?

Deboer in 4 days went from most the Huskies' most beloved coach since legendary Don James to  the biggest traitor in Washington history

I'm still trying to grasp all the realignment and the misnamed conferences...the Big "Ten" with 18 teams, the Big "12" with 16, the "Atlantic Coast" Conference with teams in California and Texas...

I think it’s a great hire for Alabama. I’ve thought about DeBoer as a candidate for Florida in a hypothetical where Napier gets fired this season but would be nervous he doesn’t have any ties to the southeast. I think that’s way less of an issue with taking over Saban’s infrastructure.

Unfortunately, I think Washington might be in trouble going forward.

Dude, we get it.  Maybe don't watch things that make you so mad (which seems to be literally everything.)

I think he'd be better off competitively at Arizona, but taking the Washington job is a steep step up from Tucson.

He was rumored to a lot of other schools as well. He’s a good coach, but he’s going to drown in the B1G. Not only that, but welcome back to sucking Arizona

Sad to see DoBoer go. Hopefully Grubb doesn't follow him.

The fact that he's never had a season below .500 in stints at Sioux Falls, Fresno State and Washington is amazing as is his record of 104-12.

Brock Purdy's little brother Chubba transfers from Nebraska to San Jose State. Spartans have had more recent success in a lesser conference and he gets to be near his brother.

Edit:

Then San Jose precedes to lose their head coach to Arizona.

I think that’s about the right level for him.

All the tools of a decent QB are certainly there, but he had one absurdly costly turnover where he didn’t see something on the defense in each of the last three games.

A change of scenery and a full season with less pressure should help him a lot.
