When it was announced there would be a Mahomes branded set I suspected they would suck and they do
tBBP
Setting aside the fact that Patrick Mahomes II's brand logo looks like Kento of Hard Rock's armor helmet (or Shu if you're in Japan)...what is the reason these things are dark gray and whatever they/UA want to call the silver (galvanized steel?)? The tweet says "it's all in the details" and then provides zero details. I'm so over the shushing pose on all of these too. Who is the player shushing? And why is the unseen person being so loud??

Because black is already their primary uniform so they can't jump on board the black alt trend unless they want a different black uniform from their primary. At least I think thats their reasoning. Most Tech alt uniforms seem to be grey.

Twitter/X has this feature where you have to click on each image to see more of the image so you can see more of the "details." Theres still no explanation on the why grey and steel were chosen beyond just because.

Look, Pat, I love you, but maybe you should stick to quarterbacking. 1 Quote "Today, it is the money that matters. Not honor. Not family. When Pat was in college, TT wore grey unis in football often. Why were bringing back the "shiny" material on a solid jersey is a weird choice but Pat does Pat

Just look at Lendale White where both digits are fairly unique, but still a classic aesthetic. The new font is fine, but it’s too thick. - The addition of cardinal colored cuffs on the white jersey is unnecessary visual clutter considering the cuff is located very close to the shoulder stripe. I actually like the contrasting collar, but between that and the sleeve cuffs, it’s a lot of visual contrast that waters down the shoulder stripe’s impact, which should be the focus. I’d keep the collar but drop the contrasting cuffs. - The new collar detail is so subtle that I question its value. It wouldn’t work in gold, so I say drop it. You can barely see it, anyways. As to the throwback, I’d welcome it as a one off, but USC should really be wearing something close to what they’ve got now for eternity. I could live with the changes, but the helmet finish is the real crime here.

TBGKon
South Florida has something coming tomorrow. I have a hunch it may be something with the Tampa Bay branding they’ve used in the athletic department recently.

I’m sure it’s just the lighting, but the helmet and jersey both seem to be “pewter”
