LMU
Better yet, New OwnerNew Coach,New Players..... No, just a new owner. They have a good coach in Mine Dunleavy. They just need someone who will actually invest in the team instead of trying to make a profit.
Gregmond
I would imagine that with the realignment, the NBA would prefer if they remained somewhere West(ish), but I think they would be much better off moving from LA, and finally getting away from the Lakers. Who wants to be a city's second team anyway? If you're not no.1, you're nothing.Vegas Baby?St. Louis?KC? Thanks to Gobbi for the awesome buttons! Well I did purposely put new owner first Actually they do have a good coach and a good set of players that you can build upon. Maybe they will have a better record than the Lakers? Mings
veags need some major league teams, plus the casinos with the taxes they pay could pay for most if not all of the stadium costs, its just the gambling thing that keeps teams away i guess. That's a good point. I doubt they'd move out of the west so soon after realigning. I'd bet Vegas, Anaheim, KC or St. Louis. All leagues are scared of Vegas for some unknown reason. (Well, we know the reason, we don't understand that reason however) Otherwise I think we'd see a team there in some major sport. Its one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the U.S. I'm not too sure how St. Louis would do with a team. I just got here into the area, so FANATIC or YH would be a better judge of that in terms of fan support. You know how they draw for Cardinals, Rams and Blues games, so I'm betting it would translate to the court. I'm betting some UofI fans from the Central part of Illinois would travel. They don't go to Bulls games to often, but Assembly Hall is packed for Illini games. KC seems not too bad. Don't know too much about it other than they have a Nice BBQ sauce. HA! Ducksville sounds like the Answer unfortunatly. Maybe fox will buy them and just call the "The O.C."

Brauny1280
I think Kansas City would be great and it also could possibly happen. KC is getting a brand new arena. It is scheduled to open in 2007 though so that throws a kink in their plan unless they can get the team to play in Kemper for a year or two. LMU
Is anyone in LA a Clippers only fan? Probably, but they're all hiding in a closet somewhere. However, the LA MTA buses tend to flash "Go Clippers" on the LCD display when the Lakers are in a slump.

amare32
Inviting the Clippers to relocate to your city is pathetic. I mean, I don't even wish Sterling and the Clip Jobs on LA -- and they've got the Lakers to distract them from the horrific trainwreck of an organization. It's like inviting Bill Bidwell and the Cardinals to move to your town. What kind of self-loathing masochist would do that?!Oh, wait...that...already...happened. To Phoenix....oh, my. <<sobs>>

the_cynic
I'm sure, at some point, BS2282 will comment on how they "could use a real sports team in SLC, why not have the Clippers move there?"If this doesn't happen, I apologize in advance for my cocky stride and musty odor.Wow, you know you're making a big negitive or positive impact on the board when you're name is mentioned in a thread that you didn't even post in. But no I don't want them here in SLC, Provo would be nice though! I'm in favor in moving them back down to San Diego. Brian in Boston
Bottom line? As long as Donald Sterling owns the team, they're not likely to move anywhere. MAYBE, Anaheim. Still, I don't see Sterling selling the team anytime soon, and he'd only move them to Anaheim if he had absolutely no choice but to leave Staples Center. Still, I think that the comments on the part of Tim Lieweke of AEG/Staples Center were just part of a lease-negotiating ploy. I see the Clippers remaining at the Staples Center for the forseeable future.
