the_cynic
What's wrong with sports today is that everyone thinks they need a new arena or stadium when they really don't. Look at the Yankees, they're the richest franchise in sports and they still play in the old Yankee Stadium. I know Yankee Stadium when through a face lift in the 60's but it's still an old ballpark. KennyRock
To tell you the truth Im not sure about moving a team to Kansas City. New Orleans is just struggling. All teams do at some point. That is not a good reason to move the team. The fact is though, last year, the team wasn't struggling, and were one of the better teams in the East. And yet, their attendance as STILL 29th in the league. I'm sure the stadium lease was for five years, so they've got another season in the experiment before they'd seriously look for a new home entering their final year in 06'-07'. Stampman
They can move to Kansas City if they change the name to something so obviously un-Kansas, that even people in third world countries will scratch their heads and wonder why a team in Kansas City is named that! Discrim
I'm surprised that the Bucks don't show up on some of those lists. Senator Kohl is trying to sell the team (or is willing to do so), and the Bradley Center just doesn't have the suites it needs for the Bucks to compete financially. he ain't sellin unless he knows the Bucks will still be in Milwaukee. There's a reason he refused to sell to Jordan: there were rumors that he was thinking about building a new arena in Racine (hey, i'd look on the bright side-an opportunity to go to more games ) A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull
NJTank
Jim Rome last night said No team is better then having the Hornets. KC will be better off getting the Magic which I think will happen. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

FiddySicks
Perhaps the Hornets wouldn't be averaging such low attendance if they didn't suck so hard this season.Just a thought. Thought Bubble: Self-Control! Self-ControlThe Hornets are now the laughing stock of the NBA, even more so than the Clippers. woah buddy hold your horses. the clippers have sucked for a millenia, this is the hornets first really bad season in awhile. and besides, neworleans just built a new arena for the hornets. i doubt they would move with an arena that is so new On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Damn, how did you know I was living in a farm? I talking more about ownership than the team. Yeah Donald Sterling is a joke himself, but if the Hornets are seriously trying to move again, then I think their owner is an even bigger joke. I saw, I came, I left. gosioux76
and besides, neworleans just built a new arena for the hornets. i doubt they would move with an arena that is so new Are you sure they built the Hornets a new arena? I'm pretty sure it's still old New Orleans Arena -- if htat's what it's called. Either I'm wrong -- which is entirely possible -- or you're confusing them with the Grizzlies, which played in an existing arena for its first two years after relocating to Memphis before moving into a newly built one this year.EDIT: I'll correct myself. New Orleans Arena was built in 1999. It's not old, but it also wasn't built specifically with the Hornets in mind.
GeorgesL
Well, I can see Kansas City getting a basketball team. New Orleans just isn't big enough of a sports city as New York, or Chicago. St. Louis should get the Clippers.

St. Louis should get the Clippers. I've heard the St. Louis talk on here before...I'm not sure they could support 4 pro teams. The Rams fans secretly hate the team (as Bill Simmons put it perfectly) but yes, Cardinals and Blues draw fairily well. I'd welcome them, but St. Louis isn't really a huge market or anything.
