I'll have to check on my old computer, but I might have a better UW-Milwaukee Panthers logo than the one Joel gave you to use on the site. Plus, this isn't a founding date for the school, but UWM changed its name to the current format (it was previously both Milwaukee Normal School and Milwaukee State Teacher's College -- Milwaukee State for shorthand) in 1956...

Here's some updated information on the alma mater for your website: UWM was actually founded in 1896 as Milwaukee State Normal School (and later became Wisconsin State College in 1927), but didn't become the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee until 1956, when Wisconsin State merged with the UW-Extension campus in Milwaukee. Here's a history of our nicknames and colors:

Milwaukee State Normals (1896-1927) -- Green and White

Wisconsin State Green Seagulls (1927-1956) -- Green and White

UW-Milwaukee Cardinals (1956-1965) -- Red and White

UW-Milwaukee Panthers (1965-present) -- Black and Gold

I think you had entries set up for UW-Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Marquette on your website, but there's a fourth D-I school in Wisconsin that you don't have: the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Their founding date is 1965, their nickname is the Phoenix, and their colors are Green and Red. I'll try to find a good logo for your use...

Well...I've taken some time today and gotten my College Colors & Nicknames section up on the SSUR:

College Colors & Nicknames

There's still a lot of work to be done; the enrollment figures are probably about two or three years old, and I've still got some work to do with the colors and nickname listings. It's a long story, but in some cases you'll see multiple color sets...it's due to my needing to set from and through dates on the records. But, I'll be working on cleaning it all up in the next couple of months.

I am also (somewhat) willing to share Pantones from colleges...since 95% of the them came from the internet, I don't have as much of a problem in sharing them.

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks Chris...I went ahead and updated my data for Durham College:

Founding Year: 1967

Enrollment: 6,000 (full-time), 23,000 (part-time)

Pantone color for the Green in the university logo is 343 C. Don't have the Pantones for the newer athletic logos...

Oh, and actually the updated URL seems to be:

I don't understand how Brandsoftheworld.com can operate without being shut down... they make Vector graphics freely available and have banner ads.

maybe thats why the colors on the files arent usually right?

Also, the Lake Superior State University hockey team uses a different variation of the anchor and Lakers script. Here are their logos:

I made some minor modifications to the .PDFs...and, I added "Athletic Affiliation" to the reports...for example, "NCAA Div. I". I'll start posting new reports later.

(my database needs a lot of work, but I'm finally getting inspired to get it together)

Troy University was established in 1887. I don't have any logos in vector format, but I do have many of the athletic logos from the school in .png format.

I'm betting that's the Idaho Vandels.

Back in the day, I loved playing NCAA Football 2001 using Idaho as the stadium. Its a smaller indoor stadium.

Pantone, the colors listed for Loyola Marymount are outdated. They are now crimson and navy blue. And, for UC Davis, the affiliation is now NCAA D-I/NCAA D-I AA, and the nickname is just the Aggies.

Yeah - lots of updates to do...quite a lot of it is a couple of years old (actually, I had the newer colors in there, but due to data problems, the old ones showed up on this report).

However, I do have LMU's current Pantones (I store them in a connected, yet separate set of tables):

Loyola Marymount U.'s Athletic Pantone Colors

I've got boat-loads of these things...
