CCSLC Banner Contest

CC97

Recommended Posts

That's right folks, we (I) here at CCSLC are looking to have a rotating board banner, where the banner changes each time you come to the site randomly.

For this I am holding a contest where you the viewer can enter and help choose banners to add to the rotation.

There are some guidelines of course...

- The banner must be 584px by 141px, less than 17kB in size, and in JPEG format (set in stone)

- The banner must include the Sportslogos.net logo

- The banner must include 'Chris Creamer's Sports Logos Community'

- The banner does not need to say "Supported by viewers like you' but it can if you like.

- The banner must be predominately navy blue

- Three entries are allowed per person

- Entries should be PM'd to me, please do not post your entry in this thread

- You only get to send one PM to me, so if you only include one banner link in that PM... sorry, that's your only entry

- Contest begins on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 12:00am ET

- Contest ends on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 12:00am ET

Winners will be chosen via vote, the top 5 vote getters will be added to the banner rotation.

If you have any questions, please ask in this thread so all other users can see the answer.

I have a vector version, but I don't know if Chris will allow me to share it.

Share it, cause I can't find it

- The banner must be predominately navy blue

Does that mean that you want the background of the image to be navy blue?

Or do you just want the feature color to be navy blue (i.e. is a white background for the banner with navy blue text and effects alright)?

- The board itself has been around since at least 1999, the site since 1997.

For the background colour:

As you can see, the banner only goes so far -- the rest that you see at the top is just a background colour in a table cell.

As long as the far right of the banner matches the blue of the of the table, I'm happy (i.e. gradiants are allowed as long as the blue is in there to meet the table blue)
