appleclock
I like the cap logo, but I'm mad overall at this change. I used to go to Cannons games all the time as a younger kid, it's a real shame to see a name/logo set that I've always liked be dumped for a dumb MLB copy, affiliations be damned. I agree. If anyone needed a name/identity change, it's Washington's NY/Penn League team... The Vermont Expos.
Gothamite
Yeah, what's going to happen to those guys?I like the Nationals' uniforms so much more without that gold bevel. Anybody else notice that they flipped the home and road color scheme from the parent club? And what's up with names at home but not on the road? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Brian in Boston
The Vermont Expos should... 1) Maintain their lake-monster mascot Champ (named after Lake Champlain); 2) Update their V-Champ logo (a la the Dolphins, Seahawks , Cardinals, etc.);3) Adopt the name Vermont Champs. This would pay homage to Lake Champlain and the legendary creature that is supposed to live there, while communicating the idea that the organization is committed to building a championship team each and every season. I too like the look of the flipped base colors vis a vis the parent club. There's also a solid blue alternate jersey with NATIONALS and no number on the front and no name on the back.I think there's the Class A budget that's being taken into account as to why there's no names on two of the three jerseys.
