philly97flyer
Take a look at this jersey, listed an a Reebok Authentic on the official Pittsburgh Penguins shop web site. Notice the gold part is no longer shiny like it used to be. Also notice that the gold in the logo EXACTLY matches the gold on the stripes. The logos also appear to be sublimated on. You can kind of see how the logo is kind of wrinkled along with the jersey, instead of it being a patch sewed on as it used to be. On the white part of the logo (chest of the penguin) you can also kind of see the flo-knit hole pattern from the rest of the jersey. ***KEEP IN MIND THIS IS LISTED AS AN AUTHENTIC AND PRICED AT OVER $300***

Roger Clemente
It looks like a picture of a child's jersey. Those are ALWAYS sublimated. (For one thing, there is no NHL shield found anywhere! Here's the authentic white jersey...no sublimation.--Roger "Time?" Clemente.

Sodboy13
I'd take that initial pic as another example as some website guy doing some late-night PS work on a stock pic. No way is anyone gonna shell out 300 for a jersey that's all sublimated.

Puckguy14
So if it's the same thing from last year... let's see...$199 Koho Authentic Penguins jersey +$70 For Crosby and #87 on it = $269$319 - $269 = $50YOU MEAN IT COSTS $50 FOR THE LITTLE REEBOK LOGO ON THE BACK? tmorss9
The white one that RC posted shows the NHL logo in its regular spot, just a tiny version of it. And I think he's right about it being the wrong pic, because the hem of the black jersey looks really, really small, and the 2 rows of stitching look much farther apart than we're used to seeing. BBTV
I wouldn't buy any authentic gear until after opening night. Until the season starts, who really knows for sure (even the "uber-informed") what they'll be wearing?
Michigan Dave
Could someone enlighten me as to the concept of a "sublimated" jersey? I'm surprised I'm not familiar with this...
Discrim
Could someone enlighten me as to the concept of a "sublimated" jersey? I'm surprised I'm not familiar with this... in a nutshell, a design is printed onto white jersey material like a printer on paper. Notable examples include the Ducks' infamous Wild Wing jersey, NFL Europe's 95-97 jerseys, the jerseys worn by some CFL teams in 1995 (Memphis, Birmingham and the Argos IIRC), the MLB TATC jerseys and the Suns' 90s uniforms...the Hawks' late 90s set and the Bucks' old alternate, as well as the Raptors' original uniforms also fall into this category. You can tell a colored jersey is sublimated cus the inside's white regardless of color.
