helmet hats...ah, I remember those. never had one, though-there was a brief period where I had some painter style hats. Why exactly, I've forgotten.

I may get me a Bears version.

To be honest, I've been hoping these would come out for quite some time. When I saw the college ones I was thinking, why aren't there NFL ones. Then yesterday, eureka! I may end up buying the whole set, but I'll wait and check out my first 7.

Also, for anyone ordering, it is buy one, get one 50% off, and if you use the code septlids20 you can get an additional 20% off on top of that. I ended up getting 40% off on the total order.

These kinda look like hats they'd give out to "the first 25,00 fans through the door." I agree that wearing them outside the stadium would be stupid. Man, most of these just look plain silly...

This is a neat idea, but it just doesn't seem to translate well. Colors like the bucs look bad on the hat matierial. The logos seem really small on the sides of the hats, and I agree with the sentiment that the bill should be the facemask color. I remember these hats when I was a kid. I think they were made of that crappy foam type material the original trucker hats were made of. I think that material was the whole way around and the logos/stripes were screen printed on. They also sold for like $6. Take that as a grain of salt. I remember almost buying one in fifth grade and that was about 17 years and a million beers ago.

I hate these helmet hats, but I like that they put the helmet stickers on the OSU hat. Pure fluffin' genius.

I agree with most all of the comments. While I agree that they look a little silly to wear, I do think they are cool for collecting purposes. For example, you could hang them on the wall in order of divisional standings!

The Seahawk on the Seattle cap needs to be larger. It is far too small to accurately represent the logo on Seattle's helmets.

True. Several of the caps have logos that are too small. Seattle, Tampa Bay, Arizona particularly.

Add the Chargers to that list. Coulda been very cool with big bolts like the helmet has.

Ha, count me on as another member of the "why did I have painter-style caps when I was younger??" wagon

shoot, I remember having two of em...I remember one of em had the Brewers glove smack on the top with "BREWERS" in blue wrapping around, and I forget what the other one had on it. Before you guys jump all over me, this was when I was about 7-8, and it was well before the current love affair with the glove logo began...shoot, it was still the current logo back then :D

I remember a couple other hats I had back then-I got a great-uncle in NY and he brought me a Mets hat, which I regretfully no longer have...then I had an old Kenosha Twins trucker hat, a Brewers Pick'n'Save promo hat, Cubs hat (which I lost, ironically, in a Chicago movie theater and eventually replaced), a pre-90s Sox hat, an Orioles hat (with the smiling bird and white front) and the old Blue Jays hat (with the white front...shoot, it wasn't old at the time). most of those were trucker style that I got at value village when I didn't have any better options, the last of which I wore on a semi-daily basis being an 80s Brewers road hat-the one with the gold front panels. That one died on me in early 98, as the back strap was irreperably broken (and looking back now, I'm glad I didn't try to fix it-damn you Ashton Kutcher)

The hairs on the back of my neck are still standing up--wow--those just look bad---I have neevr liked seeing other headgear made to look like a helmet--it just doesn't work for me, although these are better than the touques you sometimes see for the CFL teams--those are worse...
