Why? because for one it sucks, and two the fans wanted a change. I accually voted in a local Reno poll to ditch that sorry ass logo. But Oklahoma's traditional "OU" (and officially the school is University of Oklahoma... Indiana University is the only state school (except SUNYs and Rutgers) that puts the state name ahead of the "University" in its official name), which doesn't match the italicized and modernized "OU" logo seen elsewhere, does NOT need to be changed? Please explain, because I don't know why one must be changed, but the other is acceptable.I think Texas is going to oblige you; those helmets were apparently for the first game only as throwbacks.I'm with you on SDSU - the airbrushing is hideous. Of course, so was the all-black leotard look they pulled off in the opener. For a team with great colors and a great nickname, they sure do come up with ugly uniforms. "Start spreading the news... When schools get fancy with letters on the sides of their helmets (see Wisconsin in non-throwback mode), they get old quickly.I must also respectfully disagree with your assessment of LSU.
