leedsunited
Wow, lighten up. I thought it was an enjoyable read, nothing more. Thought he was way off base with a few (the Dolphins) and he was right on target about the Saints uni kicking ass.

Stampman
I don't know how many of you have read Dose, but since I have it influenced how I saw the article--it wasn't a serious sports piece--and many were funny.Dose is a "pseudo-independant" free daily paper that runs about 16 or 20 pages--it has lots of short news bytes, little did you know stuff on most pages and a general theme--it's not really serious over all, but it's really a humour paper either (and it's not really independant--it's owned by a newspaper chain)But it's a light hearted read, that's good for the bus on the way to work or during coffee break...Don't take it seriously in any way--then maybe you can enjoy it... Where did that come from, and why has it proliferated?!That and the idea that the opposite of win was seemingly become "loose" are my current #1 pet peeves. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! Shmitt
My dad loved the Giants but I was always like, "Why are they the NEW YORK Giants?" They're like some New Jersey team or something, aren't they? WTF? Sure the blue and white with red notes is pretty classic, but what's with the boring helmets? Didn't they used to have "Giants" written on their helmet? I guess the NY is there to continue to sell us the whole "We're a New York team" thing.Funny how the other NY team that plays in the exact same stadium doesn't get asked that question. Might as well complete the Pronoun Circuit:ITS = of, belonging to, or related to it.IT'S = it is.Similarly:YOUR = of, belonging to, or related to you.YOU'RE = you are.YORE = the very distant past.Good God, it's not like some languages, where the pronouns get all different endings depending on what purpose they serve in the sentence. There are only so many to master in English. We now return to our regularly scheduled thread...Dose.ca made a couple little funnies. Hardy har har. *snicker* "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17. I didn't know people even got "lose" and "loose" mixed up until the internet came along...Yeah, and the confusion over "they're" vs. "there" vs. "their" is one of those things that also drives me up a wall....makes me weep for our educational system... You click one way you want to send a gift basket with all the finest cheeses and crackers to your neighbor, you click it the other way, your declaring war on both the country of Canada and Universal Studios in Orlando. pcgd
Wonder what the correlation of "hated this article" to "gave favorite team bad review" is...I'm betting its about 95%.I personally liked how they went from loving the bears uniforms, and then talked themselves out of it and ended up hating them.I thought it was funny.
