GeorgesL
A few weeks ago, I posted on the "witnessing one of the greatest collapses in history" thread, that if the White Sox didn't make the playoffs, Ozzie Guillen and possibly Kenny Williams may be looking for jobs.Since that post, the Sox won 3 straight from the Twins, split the series with the Tigers, got help from the D-Rays, and won the Central Division. But wait, there's more...They swept the Indians out of playoff contention, and tonight they completed a 3-game sweep of the defending World Champion Red Sox.Talk about a real wake-up call. I think 'better television' is best defined by what most people want to watch. Yankees/Red Sox gets the ratings -- I'd assume that people wouldn't watch it if it wasn't 'good television'.Besides, how does the Yankees and Red Sox in the ALCS not make for better baseball?2003 was decided on a walkoff HR in game 7.2004 had a comeback from being down 3-0, games 4 and 5 being decided with extra inning, walk off hits following rallies in the 9th inning to tie the game.Whether you like to admit it or not, which you don't because apparently you don't like to give credit when it's due to the Yankees and/or Red Sox, there are no two teams in baseball that make for a more exciting, and competitive series.
