sscrunner06
Yeah, congrats to the Sox. I was highly disappointed that my Astros didn't play better, because I expected this to be a long, dramatic series. Still, I have to say it was the most entertaining sweep I've ever watched!Again, congrats to the Sox. And congrats to the Astros for winning their first pennant in team history as well. Everybody wins.

wheateater
Well, this was anti-climactic. Congrats to the Sox. Now it's all up to the Cubbies....but don't hold your breath.(Actually, I shouldn't say that. The way things are going right now, the Cubs are due next. Still, holding one's breath can NOT be good for the brain.) Epiphanic
Clearly the "curses" have been either lifted or in the process of being exorcised. 2004 - Boston Red Sox win first championship in 86 years2005 - Chicago White Sox win first championship in 88 yearsPattern? Thus,My outlandish prediction for 2006 is.....Chicago Cubs win the Series. FiddySicks
On the record right now:ALCS - Yankees over AthleticsNLCS - Giants over Nationals2006 World Series - Giants win series 4-3 Wow. Thats bold. But not as bold as this.ALCS - Athletics over YankeesNLCS - Giants over Nationals2006 World Series - Cancelled due to earthquake I gotta say, its hard to see guys from last years Giants team like A.J Pyerzinski, who had a lot of distractions and social problems with the Giants pitchers last year, and Dustin Hermenson, who was dismal down the stretch. Its also hard to see a guy like Jermaine Dye, who the A's chose not to resign in favor of a younger team, Win the World Series MVP. Hopefully (especially for the Giants) next year turns out to be our turn On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
