FiddySicks
so then there would three teams in the same division with a white helmet..... I dont see why that would be such a big problem. Wasnt there one point where ALL of the teams in that division wore white helmets? On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Wasnt there one point where ALL of the teams in that division wore white helmets? yup, which is exactly why the bills went red to begin with.hell, Id like to see the jets go to green helmets. This issue with the Bills changing to red always prompts some misinformation. Yes they switched to red in 84 to supposedly help Joe Ferguson distinguish his WRs better (at that time the Colts, Dolphins, and Pats had white, Jets had green). Jim Kelly is color-blind, not Joe F. Btw, color-blindness usually affects the ability to distinguish red from green. Guess what helmet Jimbo played with his entire career? (And I seem to remember him having no trouble when playing the green-helmeted Jets)Who cares if 3 teams have white helmets in the same division? The white with the blue bison look is the best. helmet. ever.

WSU151
red helmet for the bills. game, set, match. argument is over. Don't you need to actually have an argument before you can say it's over? And how many arguments do you try to end on this board? Everytime people have a discussion, you come in and "end" it because apparently you're just filled with genius. Let people discuss it. And your point of "There would be three teams in that division with white helmets" is not a good argument. So you don't like white helmets... So what? That ends no argument whatsoever. If they look better in white, let them be white. If you said they look better with red helmets from a stylistic standpoint (which you did not do) then I may agree with you. But giving them red helmets just for the sake of being red is a weak, weak argument. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. CubsFanBudMan
Others that come to mind: the 1990 Cubs road uniforms (1 year) Off topic... but I love those. Hear M&N is bringing out a Sandberg version soon (next year?) so my quest for one will be over. I liked the rarity of it.

DG_ThenNowForever
Actually, I remember the reason why Buffalo didn't change the helmets on the throwbacks was because some players did not feel comfortable in using a new 2nd helmet in game situations. It wasn't Buffalo being cheap; it was players voicing concern about the change in equipment. And they DID win that game......right?I'd like to register myself as a supported of the Bills keeping red helmets. I'm not as married to the charging buffalo, but I do prefer it to the standing one. The Bills have been in red since I was a child, and I think it looks better. And it snows a lot in Buffalo (or used to, before global warming). That's why they tend to win late-year division games (or used to, before 2000). 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
juan833blue
I just had an idea about the Bills. Maybe to make both parties OLD and New school happy, the Bills could use that white helmet. But have the buffalo with reverse colors. INstead of blue, make it red? It could look pretty sweet if they tried I'll tell ya, that helmet might look old school, but it has the rumored new logo on it, I think the Bills should retain their current logo or bring back the 1979-83 helmets which had the current logo with the blue facemask. HatManTC
i did hear a year back that the Panthers were playing with the idea of changing up their uni's. its been 10 years since they came into the league and havent touched their uni's as of yet. 10 years is a long time for a team not to mess with their logo or uni's by RoscoeUA by gingerbreadman
powersurge
i agree that the old buffalo log dosn't look that good and that the current helmet isn't so good either. I think the best idea would be to use a white helmet with the current logo but with the logos colors inversed, that being the buffalo being red and the stripe that goes into it being blue. I'd love to see someone makeup a concept of that. That might be a great idea!oops, just saw it, thanks!

They got 3 tops, 2 socks, and 2 pants. They could easliy make the blue the main. The only thing I would do now is to make the helmet black. powersurge
And actually I heard the color blind issue with Vinnie Testaverde, but not with Kelly. I do remember, however, that Kelly pushed for the use of the red helmets because he liked the concept. Just because someone is 'color blind' DOESN'T mean that they can't tell the difference between a RED helmet and a WHITE helmet. They see a color when they look at red and green it is more of a brownish color. If you write something on a white piece of paper with a red pen, they'll be able to read it. They will also be able to distinguish red ink from blue ink, but not green ink.

Lessen the use of silver, make the helmet light blue, tighten up the stripes (taper to a point ala USC) and voila' i think the Carolina would have a much improved look with out a drastic overhaul
BucsBoy02
I thought a while back I heard something about the Jets goin with a new look. I'm not sure where I saw it or if there is any truth to it. Does anyone know anything about em?I love the Bills throwbacks, going with them full time would be a major plus. The only thing that would make it better is using the current logo on the white helmet.
eSabre
As a Bills fan/STH, this is the first time I've heard a "rumor" of them changing unis.Personally, I like the look they currently have. If they changed anything, I'd rather they just go back to the early 90's look. The red helmet MUST stay. Let the throwbacks stay a throwback. If they wore the old ones once a year, that'd be enough for me.
