I kinda like the helmets which have addittions done to them bassed on the individual performances of the players....the Florida State Helmet being the best example with the little tomahawks, very cool. Buckeyes look good too (but if you haven't done much special everyone's gonna know) and Georgia's bones are cool too......

Ohio State invented that "trend" and continue to do it best.

No offense to FSU or Georgia.

Some of my favorites...

Ohio State (obviously), USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, Iowa, LSU, Toledo, Arizona State, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and...I know they are our arch-rivals and all but Michigan has a great helmet too.

I'm sure I left some great helmets off my list but there are just too many to remember them all.

<-- one of the most classic lids in sports, but that's waaaaaay off topic ;)

USC and Texas both have cool lids - like the simplicity and elegance of the designs (as much as it pains me to say it in USC's case). and as much as it begrudges me, UW's helmets are pretty classic too.

but I'm a homer, so it's gotta be the Ducks. it's amazing that with so much contention around our unis, our helmets are so clean and simple. I still miss the old yellow ones with Donald coming through the O though...

And by Michigan, everyone means Princeton.  (bow)

Yes. we know Michingan weren't the first to have it, but Michigan's look better.

5 other helmets I like:

1. Baylor's green lids from last season

2. Wyoming

B&B, not a fan of Minnesota's gear, but real good calls on the other four.

Football does not get any better than this picture, right here. The 2 best helmets, in the best rivalry in sports. God, I wish it was fall.

Me too then we could whip your asses again!!! (sorry couldn't resist!) :D

It's truly a shame that the Buckeyes ruined their uniforms today.

I'm a huge homer, but helmets begin and end there. First metalic paint on a helmet, amounge the first with logos on the side. Clean and classy. I love it.
